This video reminds me of myself. I’ve always used alcohol to help me open up. I met a girl I really liked, I just had trouble opening up around her cause she made me nervous, so I would drink alcohol without her knowing so I could feel like myself and open up. That worked for a while. That reminds me of the first beat drop of the song, everything seems great after she drank alcohol. But then, the second time the beat drops, things are gloomy again. This makes me think about how alcohol isn’t a solution. I kept using alcohol to the point where i needed more and more just to calm my anxieties. Eventually, no amount of alcohol helped, and I was a wreck. All I wanted was to be the person that’s in my head around this girl I loved. The only way I could bring that person out was through alcohol. She eventually broke up with me. It was for the best. Alcohol isn’t always the solution, only sometimes

this song for me isn't about alcoholism but a musical illustration of what it feels like to finally let go. the song starts and it's melancholy and low. almost like you're slowly crawling through a depression then snares start to kick in and you feel yourself starting to get up, and before you realize the beat hits and you're walking.. things feel better. and you're living life. naturally your mind will sometimes turn back to the sad thought, the song slows down. but it's not enough anymore, not enough to bring you down and then the beat hits again and you're running. i hope anyone reading this can find it in yourself to eventually let go.

Generic lofi is usually some fuck-o who was in class one day, made a shitty beat with his pencil and produced a 3-minute constant beat that isn't even memorable and sounds like all the other asexually produced generic lofi songs. But this is good (:
@TonyKrZa5 жыл бұрын
That’s why I usually can’t sleep with it: It’s too... generic. It feels bland so it makes it hard to get into when having a midnight-shuteye. A good lo-fi song would be something that has a memorable tune, with a beat that’s not hard-hitting or something that isn’t like a slower version of the Amen Break.

I love potsu. I can always count on the music to help me get through tough times like right now. I'm bedridden for a few weeks from a messed up leg. The light of my life, my girlfriend Natalia, is gone for 5 weeks with no way to contact me. And my family, the people that said "even when all your friends inevitably leave you we'll always be here for you," are being toxic and abusive while I'm stuck at home with them. I feel so empty, but this music always soothes the pain a little.

I've always found Masaaki Yuasa's animation to convey more emotion in place of finer details that other animes usually focus on. In fact, my favorite description of "The Tatami Galaxy" is "chicken noodle soup for the anime viewer's soul". Some people are a little put off by the lightning-fast subtitles of the opening monologue of episode 1, but what lies beyond that is a profound story about our expectations in life, how we view others, why we may be afraid of great opportunities, and how we characterize our past. It's free on Crunchyroll, if you're ever interested.

I still to this day credit this to finding "The Night is Short Walk on Girl" and my love for the movie to this day. The song fits this amv for it so well and the movie in general.

@@allen100solly2 I believe that you'd be better off without drinking, it's simply a bad habit and could cause an addiction, you can also commit horrible things when you're drunk

This was my first potsu song and I found it by listening to Lofi radio. I now have depression and can’t listen to this without having teary eyes because it reminds me of better times. Hope you find happiness in this music instead of the pain I feel when I hear any potsu. :)

This whole thing feels very cozy but existential. Kind of a perfect combo for when you're going through something.
