I will say it. Potter has done nothing significant except for managing a good Brighton squad that is still doing well without him. The reason why majority of fans don't have any patience with Potter is because what are we buying into? What credentials or achievements does he have that warrant patience? If Potter had won something like a cup or a league title with a lower league then more people will give him time but he hasn't done anything to deserve patience. Now the opposite, if somebody like Ancelotti or Pep is here and having this tough run, I reckon a whole lot more people will give somebody like him patience even with this run of form because they know what he is capable of. With Potter we literally don't know what he is capable of. Chelsea fans would trust the process and back the manager if we knew that this manager has delivered before and has a proven CV, but Potter has nothing and we are supposed to blindly back him?

I know the problem and Potter needs to read this. The problem existed before him, but he's made it worse. Here's the problem: We are playing possession football and possession does not win games. That's it...plain and simple. We cannot do this any longer if we want to utilize our young talent properly. We MUST play counterattack ball. Our young guys do not play well in a possession system whereby everything is constantly squeezed into the final 3rd of the pitch. We cannot operate like that. You cannot score goals by trying to kick the ball through bodies. We need to take advantage of our youth and speed and quit trying to build from the back. #lettheladsrun

The owners need to protect their assets. Football is a mental sport and I worry to many loss can affect in the long-term the mindset of the players and making it more difficult for future managers. Also, no coach should have more than 2 years contract and a provision for extension included

I know some Americans like a bit of retro and English heritage but I must say they're doing a grand job of turning Chelsea into 1980s vintage. Seriously there's a vibe about the place, the fans, the management and the whole set up I'd literally forgotten since before the Matthew Harding years. Got to give Boehly credit for being prepared to pay billions to revive a bit of lost English culture, maybe he should bring Ken Bates back as honorary chairman and a bit of art deco corrugated iron around Stamford Bridge.

I think we need a manager who has a good record for winning trophies and who has passion on the sidelines, and that's what I miss about tuchel he had passion he wasn't afraid of hurting anyone's feelings he was trying to build a team by trying to get players to fight for their place in the squad and when he was our manager he created a wonderful atmosphere at the bridge not to mention the champions league final there was always a reaction from the players and now since he's been sacked there's nothing but pathetic flat lethargic football and we are becoming a laughing stock I don't care when people say its going to take time but it's all bullshit and I blame todd boehly he has lost my respect for sacking one of the greatest managers in the world of football

You can’t say Potter isn’t good enough for this level because I believe he is, but unfortunately he doesn’t suit Chelsea. Bohely is trying to do an Abramovich 2.0 and buy success now but Potter has always been the type of coach to build teams himself and have an actual process with him having full control of that. He’s had no control with them signings and he was always going to fail at a club that demands success quickly. Anyways tho let’s hope he stays for longer just for the banter 😂

The Roman era players are going through the motions because they are not behind the new manager or owners. I will exclude Reece, Ben and Gallagher in this along with Thiago but Reece and Ben are more effective in the 3-5-2.......not a back four.......but the rest need serious examination and may be the bad apples in the cart.
