My 5 star sets: Poe's Black and Orange X-wing. The set that got me back into LEGO Star Wars. Kylo Rens ROS Shuttle. The sleek black design. The way the wings fold out. Fantastic. The Lego Ideas Tree House. The first time I saw a picture of it, I wanted it. I worked my ass off to save money for it. I find myself always just looking at it and smiling at it. My favorite set of all time.

My 5 star Lego sets are: 1. The Daily Bugle, which I got on sale 2 years ago because of one of Holly's community posts telling us about the sale, so thank you for that. It's a perfect set. I have it displayed on a Lazy Susan to spin it around and see the back. 2. The Batwing that released last year, because you can hang it on the wall. It looks incredible on my wall and makes me happy every time I look at it. 3. The Dagobah Jedi Training diorama. Yoda is my favorite Star Wars character, and the set depicts his hut and the X-wing sticking out of the swamp so well. I love that they included the piece that allows Luke to be displayed upside down, like when he's training with Yoda in the film. It's an amazing set. 4. Hogwarts Castle from 2010. I've had this set since 2010, but it was in pieces in a box until 2021 when I rebuilt it before going to Universal for the first time. It's been on my shelf ever since and has a tin poster I got for preordering Hogwarts Legacy on the wall behind it. For 2010, it was a perfect Hogwarts, at least to me.

From my limited collection I have few picks I'd say are 4-5 stars for me: 1) Tallneck - really great looking display piece, I love the games too, that surely helps, and it's also very fun to build 2) Bowser Muscle Car - amazing small set, lot of color, nice interesting build, doesn't take huge space but looks great 3) 3in1 Exotic Parrot - my first set last year as I got back to Lego after many years, and for such small and cheap set, it looks so good, can't but recommend

Finally someone who appreciates the RoS Falcon as much as I do, I've been saying for years now it's pretty much the perfect minifig scale Falcon, the right proportions, the right details, not a crazy piece count or time sink to build, I could go on about that thing for a while lol

Even just building playsets, or using sets with minifigs / animals and setting up a display makes me very happy. It is as close to 'playing' we can get to as an adult. The great thing is, that you can do it again and again, by changing the pieces and parts around, displaying them in another way.

Some of my personal favorites: The Force Awakens blue X-Wing. Sure, it may have only had like 4 minutes of screen time before blowing up, but for me it was my first big set (at the time) and my first Star Wars set. Still love it. Lex Luther’s 2012 power mech: you got Superman, Wonder Woman, and Lex Luther all when Lego was still heavy into Batman stuff. It kicked off the whole DC line until Lego pretty much killed it Sanctum Sanctorum: alright minifigure selection, but the build is beautiful, it captures the spirit of the MCU one perfectly, and has tons of great references The Museum Modular: got it for Christmas last year, and the build process blew me away. All the little displays and story vibe perfectly captured what I love from Lego, and left a perfect museum building that feels very fitting for its vibe.

I love The Rise of Skywalker Millennium Falcon its so GOOD, the shaping is great and the minifigure selection is fantastic combined with the other rebel ships from the film it looks even better. Ez 5 star. Firstborn from Ninjago S9 is a beautiful dragon, love the wings and size. UCS Y-wing i love the greabling details and the sheer detail is insane. I'd tie it with the Tie Interceptor as 5 stars. 2020 AT-AT a textbook playset. A prime example of what Lego need to do. Hahaha i would love to have the 2013 Gunship, the entire wave was insane. Jays Legacy Strom Fighter got it as soon as it came out and still love it. The wing release function is great and still works surprisingly as it uses clip attachments and the colour scheme is mint. The Benetar/The Guardians Ship still have to track it down a striking set.

As a castle/kingdoms, speed champions and star wars collector, my 5 favourites from my collection: 5: Aston Martin DB5 (speed champions) - nothing against it, overall one of the best speed champions sets, only the tail lights could've been a bit better... 4. The Ghost (2023) - better version of the last one, it is good that it includes the little phantom ii, but the minifigures are a bit lacking 3. Kingdoms Joust - the set which has the most realistic castle builds lego has ever made (early renaissance/late gothic) palace is a fitting location for a late medieval joust. And it also brought the faction of dark falcons or how it is called 2. Medieval Market Village - set very much ahead of its time that is imo far better than the 10332 1. Mos Eisley Cantina (Master builder series) - the minifgs are spot on, you can recreate the scenes from the New Hope, only bad thing about it is the fact that the interior lacks the owner's office, acid pool and a hangar for an escape pod. Bonus: Mill Village Raid for giving us the best peasant minifigures in lego history unmatched by anything newer and for the crazy amount of animals in this set.

The Fortrex - 70317 - A mobile castle on treads - How cool is that!? Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! - 70816 - The epitome of enthusiasm in LEGO form. LEGO Super Mario The Mighty Bowser - 71411 - Perhaps the most lifelike creation LEGO has ever made. King's Mountain Fortress - 6081 - Definitely a nostalgic pick having grown up in the 80s.

This star system is clear as day. I would prefer a little more precision to differentiate between sets though. As examples: The Lion Knight's Castle for me is a perfect set (apart from the insane price) so I would give it a 5 star rating. The Medieval Town Square set is definitely not a 4 or a 5 star for me, so it would warrant a 4 and a half star. It isn't perfect, but still something I love and have displayed all the time. That hobbit set looks great, I completely missed that period of LEGO and it is the only set that has overlapping interest. The other ones .. not so much :) Thanks for the video Holly, even though the Millenium Falcon wasn't dusted!

If I consider "a 5 Star set" a flawless set, then there's not a single LEGO set in that category for me. 'cause I can ALWAYS find something I don't like in any particular set. That being said, my top 5 LEGO sets would be: - 10294 RMS Titanic - 6086 Black Knight's Castle - 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner - 10214 Tower Bridge - 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay There are a ton of LEGO sets I absolutely love but they all have some sort of issue that prevents them from being perfect to me. For example: UCS Hogwarts Castle: Amazing. But the colour scheme is all wrong (I would prefer it in grey with black roofs) and it's missing a vast amount of the castle. The Tower of Orthanc: Another almost perfect set...if it wasn't open on the back. Home Alone house: Great set...but uses stickers. Lion Knights' Castle: another amazing Castle set (though still not as good as the Black Knight's Castle) but using not only the wrong faction but it's also filled with ridiculous pandering for ESG points which I despise. I think you get the point 😅
@pinobluevogel64586 ай бұрын
I'm perfectly fine with how the Lion Knight's turned out. I had a pretty substantial Black Falcon army and a decent amount of older faction Knights, so having some modern Lion Knights is great for me as I didn't have any. The ESG scores is a thing though. Even my girlfriend noticed an awful lot of the figures were femaile and thought it was pretty woke, even for a toy castle. I have to say, it is also hardly realistic. Then again, I'm not too fuzzed about it, in my medieval LEGO world, I don't mind a few badass women that wield swords. My own selfbuilt viking army has quite a few shield maidens, it goes a bit against realism, but I really like how they look. A lot of the blond hair that is available in LEGO doesn't look too great on the male minifigures anyways and it allows for more variety in the warband. Lagertha is still my favorite character from the 'Vikings' show, they really touched all the right buttons with her outfits and look. (and for once, not in a sexual way, but in a 'warrior I would love to be' way) It is amazing that girls these days get actual great rolemodels in movies and series, something I treasure from my past as a boy growing up. So, not everything is bad with overrepresentation, it has advantages too. Don't worry though, that whole ESG thing is slowly going away. The ones investing in that have dropped their funding, so there is no financial reason for any company to keep doing any of it. We can rest easy things might be back to normal in about a decade or so.

It's a 4-4.5 to me, I love it with all my heart and will rave about it everyday. But the build is quite chunky and I struggled to fit Rex in like the box art showed so it knocked it back a bit. FANTASTIC set though and worth every cent of it's resale value
