30 year old here- finally getting a bath pillow was a game changer for incredible baths!! I promise you're not alone, they really do make laying in a tub more comfortable. I keep mine in my linen cupboard when not in use, as it is a bit of an eye sore

Hi Laura I went to Newark Antique fair yesterday on the Friday. I strongly recommend going on the Thursday so hope that’s the day you have planned. I arrived late at 11.30pm and the big furniture and decorative arts/mirrors stalls where packing up and had much of their stuff in the vans ready to go so came home very disappointed. By 1.30 when I left most stalls were gone. I am going again at the end of March and am going to make sure I go on the Thursday. Happy hunting !

Hi Laura, we have had Le Creuset's stainless steel pots and pans for many many years and I mean years and they still look almost brand new. You will not regret!!! Also our Le Creuset enamel casserole dish was my mum's and I reckon must be more than 40 yrs old.

my family has had the dark green cast iron le creuset casserole pot for probably as long as ive been alive... and it's now very darkened, scratched and rather characterful but never sticks and cleans well despite being used a million times!

Pottery looked fun! You guys did great being able to make anything at all during your first time, it's hard to center the clay and get anything at first. Home haul is lovely, your classic taste is beautiful. Exciting that it's becoming time to purchase items for your main bedroom and bathroom.

Very nice haul! I have such fond memories of my grandmother's claw-footed bathtub as a child. That tray will look great and not trap water like the wooden trays you see. I was getting 👻 movie vibes at your pottery class. 😉

I have that bath pillow! It's fine, and It was necessary to have a bath pillow for the normal fitted baths you get in houses. However, when I got my free standing bath I found that I didn't need a pillow as the shape supported my neck/back perfectly. Something to consider! :)

I have a small heated blanket I love it, cat loves it too. If you have throws they are better to be woolen, much warmer than synthetic.

Stainless steel is definitely the way to go with cookware. But I wouldn’t recommend putting it in the dishwasher, even if it states that it can be washed in the dishwasher. You will get a longer life out of it if you wash it by hand.

You guys did great…..It takes a while to even learn how to center the clay on the wheel! Throwing pottery is definitely something that improves with a lot of practice. I took pottery classes at our local Junior College here in Texas. For several years. I haven’t done any pottery in a while but all my kids have lots of my mugs and bowls.

Looks like you guys did great at trowing! I do pottery although mostly hand built, done a couple of pieces on the wheel and yhe its hard…hehe. Looks like u got some scratches from the trowing no? Also while you were talking about art I kept thinking that it would be so fun if you went antique shopping so i was very happy when you said its in your plans!

For stainless All Clad all the way. Made in USA and lifetime warranty. They’re an investment but you don’t need anything else. For enamel go for Staub made in France.

Lovely video! 1 thing I want to ask: is something off with the sound on your camera? I listen to your videos with earphones in and this whole video of you talking was mainly only audible in my left ear. Then again, the music you inserted during your pottery class was audible in both ears. No criticism or anything like that, just genuinely concerned something might be wrong with your camera!

Hot water bottles are not a thing in Canada. I’ve never actually seen one in person. Do you just pour boiling water in it?
@lilieelise7478 Жыл бұрын
Yes. Very hot or boiling water! But be careful to not burn yourself.
@junehulton9776 Жыл бұрын
Hi...yes you boil the kettle then...very carefully to pour it in the bottle...they have some lovely covers ... they don't all come with covers ...we fill them and put them in the bed ......best in the feet area .. I believe many ...years ago they were made from pottery....they certainly work and soon make you feel warmer ...many use and electric blanket ....which I am sure you have heard and seen..
@MammarellaClarisa Жыл бұрын
We have them in Argentina but the water shouldn't be boiling. Should be hot, but not boiling. At least that's how the ones we have here work.

They are a thing in Canada! I definitely grew up using them, but they don’t seem as common anymore. 😊
