I love that you share with us, you are sooooooo real. It’s quite refreshing. I hate it when you ask someone how they are and they just say, “Oh, I’m fine”. , when they aren’t. I know when I have a true friend I can tell them everything and they can tell me everything and each of us are there to listen and comfort each other. So here’s a big hug. Much love and light coming your way. I’m watching this video since I am attempting to make 3 urns for a close friend’s husband, 1 for her , and the other two for her sons. My heart hurts but I am honored that I was asked to make the urns. …Liana

I am so glad your mom is ok and that your daughter was able to convince her to get the care she needed! I haven’t traveled much so I had never really thought about travelers insurance but my gosh I can’t imagine how much that would all cost in a different country that doesn’t take your insurance!! I’m also glad you’re able to talk to us and share your life. It’s so important to have that outlet, especially with all you have had going on. My gosh these vases are ABSOLUTELY STUNNNING!!! Wow! I was so nervous when you put the vase on its side! lol. I can’t believe all the things I learned just from one video! Sometimes we get stuck in a way of doing something and we don’t realize there might be an easier or different way to do it! Thank you sooo very much for all you show us and teach us it has made such a difference in my work!

Because you share what’s going on in your life is probably why I think of you as a friend even though we’ve never met. We’re a lot alike that way. I hope your mom is home soon and heals quickly. You’re both lucky your daughter was with her. And OMG! Those donut vases are gorgeous!!! You may have challenged us but I’m not there yet. I’m really looking forward to the baskets. And I hope you get a lot of sleep tonight.

Hi. First, I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't have a problem with you telling us about you and your family. It makes me think of you as a friend. Hopefully, your mum will make a full recovery. It's good she had your daughter with her. Also, hope your knees are healing well. These vases are stunning. I love them. The detail is amazing. Like you, I love knowing the history behind things. I find it really interesting.

OMG woman! Your family just needs to cut it out! I'm glad your mother is doing better. You guys have been through the wringer! Challenge accepted on the donut vase. I'll probably work on that tonight if I have time after handling the mugs I threw last night. I'm already brainstorming the decorations. They won't compare with your beautiful versions, but I'll give it a shot. Take care of yourself. You're still healing from surgery yourself, and need that sleep to let your body heal. Sending good mojo to you and your family!

I’ve made donuts into teapots but not in a while. The last one I did I “pit fired” in my old Weber BBQ. It looked like a snake so I called it Sofia Tea Godess and entered into the county fair. To my utter surprise it won a silver award! I must do another one as a wedding vase. I love doing the donuts too.

I am so happy to hear your mom is on the mend. I hope you get some rest and don’t be too hard on your mom. She was enjoying herself and that’s important… Just not as important as her health😂😂😂. I love these vases. I have a cheap wheel with no bat pins so I can’t really throw these donuts yet. Although, maybe I just won’t make them as big as yours! That’s an idea! But they are so beautiful and will make perfect wedding gifts! Thank you for another awesome video! You are the best!

Yes, go for smaller. You can also drill the wheel head and add bat pins so you can throw in bats. And thank you.

I have just started learning to make things with clay, and I absolutely LOVE it ☺️ 💖 makes my soul sing 💕💫 I was actually watching this video a few days after it was uploaded , but I didn't get to finish it 😕😔 because I fainted while I was walking to the bedroom from the bathroom and shattered my left shoulder!! I was taken to the hospital 🏥 While examining my injury the doctors👀🧑🏽⚕️ said they found some major blockages in my carotid arteries & in my heart 🫀 😮😢 So after open heart surgery, stints in my neck and a pacemaker I'm now home and recovering...❤️🩹...5 weeks later; 🗓️ OH I still have a shattered shoulder that cannot be REPLACED for another 3 months; until I have completed the blood thinners that I have to take to keep the stints open 😮 🤦🏼♀️ SO MUCH PAIN !!! AND I WANT TO PLAY WITH CLAY SO BADLY 🙏🏼 🏺🪴 I just LOVE this so MUCH!! SO...for now...I can live vicariously through you LoL 🤣 and continue to learn.🙏🏼☺️ I enjoy your vids❤ Ange

@@hobblecreekpottery yes, for sure saved my life, call It the universe, call it God, call it what you will, but I absolutely believe that it was to serve a purpose, I would not have gone to the hospital or the doctors because we have all believed that they it was symptoms from the multiple sclerosis so we didn't even think of heart issues.... Big hugs and healing energy to you and your mom also, my dear, may we get dirty as soon as we are able 🤞🏼 💫🙏🏼

Thank you for the update on your family. Makes me feel like part of the fam. One positive from the negative is that your knee isn’t your major focus. You’re getting around much easier. Year 3 here making pots & I think it’s time I try making some donuts! What kind of knife do you use for cutting holes? It seemed to move through your clay like butter. Hugs for you!! 🤗💜
@hobblecreekpottery8 ай бұрын
Thank you. The knife is just one of those hole makers I've found over the years. It's probably less about the knife and more about the dryness of the clay. Too wet, and it makes a mess, too dry, and you risk cracking the piece. Give the donut a try!

The last thing your mom needs is you to focus on her stubbornness. You have no idea the level of pain she was in! Seriously!The infection is life changing. 100 ❤times worse than childbirth labor or a broken bone. Let me put your mind at ease…Her refusal to seek help is the last thing you will ever need to worry about with kidney stones. She will make the right decision. The pain forces you too. Try to focus on what your mom must be going through instead of making it about you and your lack of sleep.
