Love the walk around Paulson! A very fun place to visit! Somehow my grandfather acquired an old telephone switchboard which ended up in a pile of many other interesting items on his Kansas farm. Our family would travel from CA, most every summer, when I was a small kid to visit my grandfather and also so my dad could help with the wheat harvest…he was a school teacher the rest of the year. Seeing the switchboard in your video brought back lots of great memories! Thank you Renae and Sam for the fun time! Love you both!

Sam it is good to see you and really nice to have a video with you GF. She seems just as genuine and nice as you. I like this video because I grew up in WA but never went to very many places. I moved out of state after I married so it is nice to see places through your eyes. I hope this doesn't mean you wont be doing any diving vid's. I hope Jarred didn't mess that up for you. I never cared for him much but I watched because of the good it was doing some families. Have fun and I hope to see another vid soon.

Poulsbo is so gorgeous 🤙🏼 I’ve salmon & halibut fished up in Neah Bay 🎣 👍🏼 (Our country is beautiful) That was cute Renae❤️ not knowing how Clark Kent changed into Superman with the phone booths 👏🏼😄, more room in this one with no phone to bump into ☎️ 😁 Thanks again for your sharing, May all your travels & adventures be watched over & protected 🙌🏼🛐 Have a super, duper fun week!

Nice video of Poulsbo. They have a Viking Festival every year too. Guess I need to dig out my chainmail & see if it still fits if I go to it. My grade school had those horrible desks and were so old they still had the inkwell holes in them. They were miserable to sit at all day! Somewhere in my stuff I have a piece or two of the old telephone switchboards, I know I have a mass of the lights for them too.

I LOVE Poulsbo. Just closed on a home 20 minutes from there. It's one of my favorite places to shop, eat and just browse around. Definitely check out the famous Sluys bakery next time if you can get in. Always a long wait. I've been to Poulsbo so many times and didn't know about that Mexican restaurant. I definitely will check it out. Thank you! Nice video.

POULSBO is such a fun little town. It's not far from where I live on the Key Peninsula
@rayarden3 жыл бұрын
Poulsbo was originally meant to be spelled Paulsbo, which is Norwegian for Paul's Village. When the incorporation application was received by the U.S government, they mistook the handwriting on the form, and the town has been spelled with an "O" instead of an "A" ever since. The correct pronunciation is spoken as if the "A" vowel is still in place.
@wallyoyen44663 жыл бұрын
Arden! :) It was the U.S. Post that changed the spelling when the application was made for a post office many years prior to incorporation. Both the Maritime Museum and the Heritage Museum have enlarged copies of the application for a post office for Paulsbo submitted by Iver Moe, and the return authorization for Poulsbo. Paulsbo was Iver Moes home town in Norway! You are absolutely correct about the pronunciation which you should be since your great-grandfather was the first settler here. When you are in town again, you should come into the Heritage Museum in its new location.
