I went frame by frame on it. He didn't hold left. The cape hit him before he launched so it still went the direction he was holding.

Max asked Light on stream afterwards, and he said he didn’t switch directions. Apparently cape doesn’t turn him around at the beginning

@@DairInNeutral It did turn him around. But since he got caped before he actually launched, it didn't affect the angle he launched at. But it happened so fast nobody could tell what happened in the moment.

Lights spacing has been so absolutely insane lately. Even in the first two mins, you can see him bairing wizzy’s shield just out of range of upsmash, and too far for wizzy to commit to up B.

No, the cape hit while firefox was still charging. Firefox sends the direction you hold it at the last frame of charging it, which is right.

The way Light played against Wizzy was genuinely impressive, especially considering Mario beats Fox. Like the matchup isn’t as bad as Fox vs Luigi, but Fox still loses lol. Also Light was looking like Paseriman with all the F Smashes he used in the set, which was pretty cool.

Like: .Mario’s Insane OOS in Nair, Up B, Up Smash deal with Fox’s shield pressure extremely well .Mario can combo break a lot of Fox’s stuff very well with Nair or Upair .Mario can easily 2 frame Fox with Down tilt, Dash attack, F Smash .Mario can Cape Fire Fox .Mario can very easily kill Fox with his combos

The Impersonator I hear a lot of pros but no cons lol. I’m sorry but I’m not sold. I don’t care what top players you been hearing. Obviously we are both sharing our opinions so I’m not gonna say you’re wrong but I nair don’t agree. I feel it’s even. Frame date wise i would say both characters share good qualities in that area. And like you say fox gets comboed so does Mario. And yea he can use nair to break combos but I feel fox nair can do the same thing. Cape is annoying but thats for a lot of characters it’s just something to be played around. The only thing I give Mario over fox is ability to kill earlier but if fox is doing his thing I just feel that matchup boils down to player skill

@@theimpersonator7086 at the same time, fox can out space Mario with his moves to where it’s safe and is hard to punish out of shield. Fox’s frame data is one of the few that rivals Mario, and his speed and mobility tops Mario. Even with Mario’s OOS options fox’s pressure is just too insane. I say it’s even at least

Honestly dark wizzy has back his problem that he plays nerves. Also saying kurama is best mario is kinda capping. Dark wizzy was like 31th seed he lost around that so he did ok. Last tournament he only lost to Lui$ which might be a top 10 player and a random shulk.

Wizzy makes no sense as a player to me LOL why, if you wanted to primarily play neutral and not combo, would you play the character whose greatest strength is him combo game?? He plays like a zss (good neutral, few extended combos) but he’s not zss. So weird

Curtains people like to play (neutral) that way because of the game the character does not really change that way. that's just a player thing like how tweek plays very defensive and mkleo plays very Patience.

Light is playing on a different level than most other top players. The skill required to be this good with Fox is insane. If he were to play a top tier.. he might be recognized as an even better player.

More like Light's Fox is the spiritual successor, just with far more aggression, a lot of Ultimate Fox's fundamentals were made in Smash 4, and Larry was the one who brought it to top level in those days.
