Great job taking us through every nook and cranny, I really appreciate the thoughtful demonstrations as well. Nice work comparing two really nice options. I appreciate the creature comforts and build quality of the pound, but at that price discrepancy, I think I’ll happily pick up a Squatch with my tighter income.

Given the new updated top pocket of the Squatch, and the inability to put discs in the flap pocket of the Haul ( VERY irritating !)...Squatch for the win !! I do ABSOLUTELY LOVE the customization of the Haul, however. But as stated above and the green is close enough for me, I'll still go with the Squatch.

Thank you for the in depth comparison! The devil is in the details and the price seems to reflect it. Y2K zippers ARE the gold standard from what I've seen. Waterproof zips benefit from a tad silicone when new. They tend to be a little stiff until broken in. Just keep the dust from building up on them if you do need lubricate when new. Tighter zips= better weather resistant. If the zips arent waterproof, may as well use a style that is easier to open.

This is an awesome comparison that I’m sure many people will be referencing in the future. Squatch has gotten a lot of flack for ‘copying’ Pound and outsourcing manufacturing to China to cut costs. While that criticism may be valid, I do believe there is room for both manufacturers. I believe it comes down to premium customization vs value. The pound is still the undisputed most premium disc golf bag made while the Squatch is probably one of the best value bags in regards to quality of materials for the money. I recently compared both and chose to purchase the pound. I planned on having one bag for the next decade and I could justify the price because: 1.) I customized the bag exactly how I wanted it. 2.) Pound has a proven track record in longevity. If I was purchasing a bag for the next 5 years and cared more about value, I would have chosen the Squatch. Once again, very thorough and impressive video.

I agree. The Squatch is definitely a great value. I'm really impressed with this bag. As for the Pound, it's in a different league. It is a premium/luxury bag in the disc golf market. Both can definitely exist because each fills a different market.

Squatch undoubtedly made this bag for people that cannot (or will not) justify paying 600+ for a disc golf bag. I believe they nailed the mark with the Legend bag.

@@joshuawaddell6640 its amazing how much cheaper things are, when you dont have to pay a decent working wage. Or the flip side.. its amazing how expensive things are, when you have to pay a decent working wage, pay business taxes and insurance. Outsourcing comes with its own costs....

Did you have issues with the strap tensioners? The Octothorpe has high quality strap tensioners they use on hunting packs. I have the Lore and the strap tensioners constantly fail and you always have to adjust your straps making the pack less comfortable.

I didn't have an issue with the strap tensioner on the first run of the Legend. But, I'm experiencing that on the Lore, especially with the load lifter strap. I had to feed the strap into one of the buckles to prevent it from coming lose. I think I might have mentioned it in my Lore review video.

@Viridisk it must be a Lore thing. I wonder if the strap tensioners are different on it. Either way that putter pocket makes the bag. Easily my favorite feature from squatch. Great review! I plan on pulling the trigger on a legend when that black and red colorway comes back.

I have to think given that this is a first go that if they take all the feedback on things like the slightly too small phone pouch too tight inner pouch on the opposite side and the annoying top flap problem all of which i've seen others mention as well then I definitely may have to give a future squatch legend (v2?) a look.. already having to talk myself out of this one as is since I just got a new grip ax5.. very nice review thank you!

They are both super comfy. I prefer the Pound's comfort by a slight edge. The Squatch can have a little rough feeling between the neck and shoulder depending on how much it's loaded compared to the Pound.

Can you tell me if the squatch cooler insert fits into the pound side pocket? I was thinking if buying one since they sell it separately

It will actually fit in the Pound haul, pockets, except the cooler will stick out at the top about 2-3 inches.
