I loved your “key” points in this video. And the way you poured this project was “key.” Lol. Seriously though, awesome video.

That's a good job on the key! You need to make the decision on the sprue! I have an arrow head on one of my first videos with the same dilemma about removing the sprue, and I haven't removed it yet!😊

i say lop off the silver hunk and cast it into a lock for the key to go inside which will also act as a stand.

Nice! I'm wondering why you didn't create vents along the side of the key. I thought that was something that was critical, to release the gases.

Really nice pour S&S!💙🖤👍🏻✌🏻🤘🏻 I don't know if you should cut it off or leave it, that is a tuff one.

I'm also wondering why you didn't turn over the first mold, and use the bottom to press the key into. It's always smoother than the side you have to scrape off. Thanks.

I am curious about the tumbler step. I just cast a 8oz sterling silver snail (escargot) with the aim of making a shiny paperweight. The casting came out very well but I think that a tumbler might be needed to bring out the shine.

I am sorry for the late response. Wow a 8 ounce silver snail! That’s impressive! The tumbler will definitely shine it up and make it nice and shiny. I use a solution called Shine Bright.
