Pouring Concrete INSIDE My Car Warehouse *They Brought A Whole Truck Inside*

3 days after it was supposed to be done, the warehouse floors get poured. What started as a 1ft by 10ft hole when I bought the place and a whole bunch of junk in the concrete turned into a week long massive repair. It's going to be so much nicer when it cures so I couldn't be happier at the end of the day.

Common Questions:
What motorcycle do I ride? A few. Ducati 1198, Honda Goldwing, Honda Grom, Honda Ruckus
What do I do for a living? Make KZbin videos.
Can you wheelie? No, I suck.
Are you fast? Sort of. I suck mostly though.
Where can I keep up with you off the bike?
Instagram: WatchJRGo
Facebook: WatchJRGo (or JRGo, FB hates my branding)
Do you go to school? College, for 2 classes.
Why do you ride so dangerously? What do mean? I was doing 25.
Do you go to the track? Of course, hopefully there will be videos in the future.
Do you play video games? No, but I might stream N64 Goldeneye at some point. Twitch: WatchJRGo
Are you afraid the police will watch your videos and arrest you? Something something evidence something something warrants and due process of law

I work for a construction equipment rental company as a field service tech. One of my favorite service calls are those scrubbers! Mainly because after I fix it, I HAVE to make sure it all works. So a good 15 minutes of testing is always necessary! Those are so fun to use.

Tennant makes even bigger unit(s) than what you using - I use the Tennant T20 propane in a million square foot warehouse. It has a 4cylinder Mitsubishi motor making 60 hp and with the urethane squeegees will make the floor shiny and clean. Right front corner brush with two center counter rotating roller brushes. Here is the tip - pop open the side panels, unlatch the caps and pull the roller brushes and with a hose and Simple Green, douche the brushes and the underside of the T12, clean it thoroughly and the rear squeegee(s) and reassemble the unit and clean floor the again - you should see a vast improvement on the floors. With the T19, I had to gut the unit every two to three weeks to get the floors were I work at shiny and clean. Also the streaks on the floor - small rocks or objects is wedged in the squeegee. Stop and go backwards SLOWLY to clear the object wedged under the squeegee and the brushes will pick up the offending object and vacuum it up/swept into a tray. If you need info on the T12 how to clean-KZbin.....

Part of my duties were repairing those various brands industrial floor scrubbers and they were a Beast to repair. Their very nature of working in a constant wet environment in combination with harsh cleaning chemicals took it's toll on every part. I would not recommend a used machine unless it had been completely gone through (those replacement batteries alone are thousand of dollars) you're only buying someone else's problems.

Hey JR if you want a good floor cleaner, you can get a NEO AvidBot auto cleaner, they are a bit expensive but every dollar is worth it. I used to clean a mall, for 1.5 year, and used this exact model t12 machine (bomber machine) and another big ass neo automatic cleaner. it connects via wifi, has sensors 360º, cameras, you can map out the warehouse and have it go wherever you want it.. just set it to clean and it does it by itself..

TENANT also makes Great Walk-Behind Models as well! Just make sure that you obtain a few Squeegee Plates and Scrubbing Wheels! And all you need is a small Corner Storage Shed with a Power Port and Water Supply to store it within your Shop...🤔 The Walk-Behind would definitely be cheaper and more available, this is why I would recommend this Version.

During the job, the guy found BIG rocks where the posts were supposed to be set. He complained to me that he was losing money on the job. Was I supposed to adjust the quote? Would he have adjusted his quote had he finished earlier than expected? Anyway, hope these guys aren’t asking to adjust their quote after running into trouble.

I'm a bit concerned about the size of the reinforcing mesh in that floor. It should be a 3/8 inch by 6 inch mesh to handle the heavy vehicle traffic. There should be 1/2 inch bars drilled into the existing slab at 12inch spacing with the grid mesh tied at full overlap on top of the pin bars. It will be interesting to see if it cracks after a bit of traffic.

Even though you don't intend to ever move the lifts wouldn't you want to epoxy first anyway so the floor is as much of an uninterrupted surface as possible even under the lift feet? If you epoxy first it's only broken by the lift anchors and you can seal around the edges of them after they're in the slab.

To cure the concrete properly, you should flood the concrete with water for at least a week. Covering it will help to reduce evaporation. You need the cement in the concrete to have as much water available as possible.
