Thank you Eric for letting me bring Dirt Perfect , S.O.T. Metal works , DOT Bear Woodworking and Farmer Chris along for the job. Truly amazing that the timing fell into place to have all these KZbin channels on your project. Your are as easy to work with in person as you are in your videos. Hope to see you soon and thank you for the opportunity.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who can’t sleep on pour days, I’ve been doing this for 22 years and I toss and turn on pour days only, whenever we’re setting forms I sleep like a baby the night before 😊

They call them a pig from the pipeline industry. They were originally various objects from rubber balls and plugs used in pipelines to separate different products. For instance, they’d ship gasoline for a few hours then would insert a pig or two and start pumping diesel or heating oil. This kept the different products from mixing together. They then used some with metal blades to clean out the pipes. They got the name pig from the squealing sounds they’d make as the traveled through the pipes. Nowadays they have what are called smart pigs that are electronic devices that survey and inspect the pipelines from the inside checking for corrosion and weak spots. They help keep the pipelines safe and working well.

Eric, I'm retired, but my son is in commercial construction (now in sales for marine projects, mostly oil and gas), but he was responsible for roughly the last half of concrete at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts (phase one, he is not associated with phase two.) He, like you, spent many nights up pretty much all night making sure the concrete got poured where and when it was required. Enjoyed this video, as always! Oh, and I was in IT for my entire career, but my son got a degree in Construction Science from A&M, and has been actually employed from internship to present in the field he was educated in! OK - you can probably tell I'm a proud poppa! My daughter is in a totally different field, wedding planning, but I am equally proud of her, the comments just don't seem to pertain to this channel! :-) [EDIT: Meant to comment, if you were to have two of those rider floats, you could literally do "construction bumper cars"!]

I worked for a company in Germany and we demoed a foundation of a huge hammer at the Mercedes factory and it took over four weeks to cut and break the concrete. They had used H-beams and lots of #8 bar. It was about 50’x50’x10’. That building shook all day from the other hammers forging connecting rods and other parts.

I was suprised you didn't tall grid the rebar before pouring. I saw one poured and they had squares inside a square with verticals spacing the rows about a 8 in apart and then tossed in some cross ways.

Hi, Why don't you do a wet curing of the concrete for a few says after pouring it? I've read that this can increase the strength of the concrete by as much as 50% and I've also heard this make the concrete less pours.

Sir I have doubt on cement *)What is the difference between 53 grade cement and rapid hardening cement *)We know that rapid hardening cement it sets quickly higher strength because of its finer cement particles *)rapid hardening cement is more finer than 53grade cement then why can't they give name like 63grade 73grade like that

The metal building adventure here in Arizona is a nightmare. Calling to get quotes is all over the country sales people lie and say there in Arizona but there in Utah .... Colorado..... Texas they all lie. Anyway concrete bids are as bad so l send them your videos no one wants to do a all in one poor. They want to do sections and saw cut's no full slab poors so l'm stressing on telling them your way to do concrete they are all way behind your experience.
