This video demonstrates how to pour up a Study Model from an Alginate Impression using Stone. This is just one way to do it, many assistants have many different techniques but this is just one example of how to pour up. The video also shows how to build up a thick base, and goes over what is an example of a "bad" study model and what is an example of a "good" study model.
A Study Model is known as a POSITIVE Dental Impression, while the Alginate Impression is known as the NEGATIVE Dental Impression.
