Today's video features something a bit older than what I'm used to. An 8V71 two-stroke that was as smooth as butter. Join myself and a few colleagues on an unplanned drive around Alexandria, VA.

Oh my gosh!!! Grey hound buses I used to ride on in 1988 with manual doors and 1989 was just like that with automatic doors! That brings back memories! I was 8 and 9 years old at those times!!! I would ride almost every Friday and Sunday from boarding house I was staying at during school week to my family 2 hours north of school. I would give any days to ride one of those old mci buses.

We had 10 96A3's at my job. The gas peddle would fall to the floor when the air bled out at night.

Correct me if I’m wrong but it was an ex Raritan Valley Bus service bus from the past

I remember driving these with 7 speed manual and 6V92.

Tristan needs to put you in a 1984 Prevost LeMirage. Or a Fishbowl with no power steering.

Interior looks like a 2022 mci d series without the digital screen which shows how ancient some American buses are, discontinued now I think??
@ag63712 ай бұрын
The D series was mostly untouched since 1992 except that digital cluster and LED lighting

@ag6371 I know, the buttons under the overhead luggage compartment changed too

I'm surprised that this 102C3 has an 8V71 instead of a 6V92TA or 8V92TA !

I'm guessing the 8V71 was a less commonly optioned engine for this bus?
