For $2500 extra on the EX you got sunroof, alloy wheels, radio controls on the steering wheel, upgraded stereo system with extra speakers. All trim levels DX, LX, Ex had same horsepower. 8th gen was an average design except for the faulty engine blocks recall that cracks below average for that reason alone.

Could you please do a video of checking all the fluids of a 5 speed civic? power steering, brake, clutch, cooling wipers and windshield wiper fluids. My daughter would appreciate a young persons explanation and not from her judgemental father. There is one but it is an automatic so no clutch reservoir.

You've probably already made your decision by this point, hopefully you're satisfied with whatever you've settled with. That's a really tough call for me, but I think at the end of the day I would go with the Civic. It's gonna depend on a number of factors, if you want something with a little more character and cargo/seating capacity I think the Impreza is the only way to do it. I am a huge Subaru fanboy, I adore my 02 wagon, but I have to admit that the R18 is just a more reliable and economic option than any EJ. The Impreza 5 speed feels a lot weightier and more solid, but the Civic is effortless to use and a little more practical for daily driving (also it's more durable). Neither choice is wrong, but if I was going to go with just one in my current situation (cargo doesn't matter much but fuel economy does) I'd probably have the Civic over a non turbo Impreza.

Found this same car for $1100 near my hometown. It has 200k miles already and needs a front bumper, is it worth its cheap price, you think?

Definitely. 200k is nothing for those R18s, it'll do very well, and that price is quite good assuming there's no other issues.

I bought one for $900! It was my favorite car to own except for a CRV I bought for 600 the crv is most definitely the best car to own it checks every box and comes in a manual!

What can I say about this car is Fun to drive and great economy on gas that's why I have one of this. But mine is automatic. 👍

The top of my steering is eaten away by hand wear and sun damage. The rubber or whatever material they wrap around their steering wheel is real cheap. BTW ex is above LX. Lx being the base model. And si is the “sport injected” model with different 200 hp engine. Also your lucky you have a manual.

Wrong dx is base ND had 15s lx is luxury and ex is extra..they had 16s

It goes to 60 in 8 0 sec.. 7.7 coupes, Dual stage air intake quite quick for its class. It's a sub compact

The visor was probably down because it won't stay up, they have a recall on the visors on the 8th gen civic.
