You are down shifting gears from 4th to 3rd to 2nd and to 1st why not directly shift to 2nd from 4th or 5th when the speed is below 20km ?

That's the best way to practice and avoid gearbox damages. Most of them are recommended to downshift through each gear sequentially to ensure a smoother transition.
