I have a 94 automatic with a performance axle. The "late C4's" are fast, thanks to the LT-1. And they're very smooth and mechanically reliable. The clam shell hood is beautiful, and I like the retractable headlights.

Thanks for the ride. I own a 1996 corvette automatic. I often wonder if I should purchase a manual C4. Did you ever have the chance to compare one to the other ? Thanks👍

I have a '96 coupe with the 6MT and I can attest it is very fun. ~30 more HP over the auto as well!

OK, if you are in the market for a 92-96, you should know that the aftermarket optispark situation is pretty bad!! Literally only one company makes a good optispark and that company is petris enterprise. Also, it would be a good idea to get a 95-96 96 being the best only because of the Obd2 but the 95-96 have a vented distributor. Also, they have a pin drive instead of the spline drive.

@@C4VETTELT1 from what i've heard, the optispark is pretty easy to fix/replace, though its annoying and can get hairy if you're unlucky.
@C4VETTELT12 ай бұрын
@lukelun it's easy if you know what you're doing!! And yes it's easy to cure IF you buy a good one!! But only one good one exists!! If you buy anything other than the petris opti you 1,000% will be doing the job again in the very near future!! And I'll say if you have a corvette the job is easy but if you have a fbody is way harder than the corvette!!
@C4VETTELT12 ай бұрын
@lukelun it's easy if you know what you're doing! Call a couple mechanics shops and have them give you a quote on the job!!! That'll give you an idea of what you're dealing with! Lol if it's a corvette then it's pretty easy but if it's a fbody it won't be nearly as easy! Also don't buy ANYTHING but petris!!! If you buy anything else you 1,000% will be doing the job again in the very near future!! GUARANTEED!!! I found out the hard way!! I haven't dealt with a LT1 engine since the early 2000s and had absolutely no idea the aftermarket opitispark situation was so bad!! But it really is that bad so learn from other people's mistakes!!! Don't buy anything but petris!!!

How do you not see this? Anyone who's driven all sorts of manuals all their life is immediately gonna spot this. It's not a Kenworth. Press clutch, glide lever smoothly and briskly into the next gear as the clutch is beginning to come back up and rapid/smooth release. This guy is doing none of this. Jerky.
