video is interesting. Another video is overdue where for overtaking, you have to shift to manual mode (M) to engage lower gear for more power. Video should also show as to how after change in speed you revert back to D mode.

Buddy it doesn't have the manual mode so just put the gear in D mode and you are good to go in the city as well as in the highway even while overtaking and the L mode is low gear mode used to generate power in slow speed that's it like if you want to pull something otherwise D mode is all you have and is sufficient.

@@AnotherEngineer You are right but Baleno has seen drastic changes. For example now Baleno doesn't have 1 liter Turbo charged engine, which till a few months back was coming along with 1.2 engine. Likewise, the old L mode has been replaced by M (manual) mode. If you happen to watch new videos or Maruti portal, you can see the M mode on gear shift stick

See buddy in CVT there is L mode but now there is M(manual) mode because it's a AGS technology more improvised than AMT as due to the cost reduction they have now switched from CVT to AGS in which you can manually upshift and downshift from the gear lever itself when you want to change the gears and in Drive mode it will change the gears itself.

Hi is it easy to do sudden overtakes in any emergency situations or does it require planning

No it's easy and you don't have to plan it but you need to hit the gas pedal a little deep in an emergency situation otherwise you are good to go. 👍
