POV Drive to the top of STELVIO PASS in the Alfaholics GTA-R290

Another day another Alfa.
Today was my turn to experience the sheer thrill of being in an Alfaholics GTA-R290. A 2.3 litre Alfa Romeo Twin Spark Engine producing 240bhp screaming up to 7,000rpm. Petrolhead Tours created a "Drive Out" mid morning to take us to the top of the infamous Stelvio Pass. And my god was it beautiful.
This particular Alfa Romeo GTA-R has been driven by some of the most influential automotive journalists such as Chris Harris and Henry Catchpole.
If Chris Harris quotes "If Singer is to Porsche then Alfaholics is to Alfa Romeo" then the brothers of Alfaholics must be onto something.
Sit back, plug your headphones in and enjoy one of the greatest noises I believe a car has ever made.

Marius Ipad Feruccio Lamborghini bought a Ferrari and complained to Enzo about the clutch while offering an improvement. Enzo told him to eff off and stick to tractors, Ferruccio got mad and started a car company in response. The rest is history lol.

Fantastic vid, thank you. That blue GTJ/GTV is spectacular looking, you don't often see that sublime shape revealed so well from angles like elevated side-on. A highlight is the Super, up-shifting as passes; 10:20

Fantastic. Thanks for making this video. The Alfaholics bros are doing the world a great service. They are the real deal. If i suddenly came into lots of money i know exactly what i would do. I once did three laps as a passenger in a 911 rsr at Paul Ricard and shortly after was reunited with my lunch. But just goes to show the car was being driven properly WHAT A MACHINE!! I grew up with a brother in law who raced Alfas in autonItalia so have always been aware i need an alfa. With prices going up And up i think at the end of the year I will put a junior in the garage before its to late.

I used to own a ‘69 1750 GTV in fairly standard trim, except for Koni yellows, rebuilt suspension and decent alloys and tyres, it was great fun. Now have a Giulia 1300 Ti, which I have slowly been acquiring parts for it from Alfaholics to upgrade its suspension etc. what I am curious of is how comparable is the GTA -R 290 to their Giulia 1600 Ti Super - R. I do miss having a GTV.

The best part is when you overtake that bmw i8. That guy in the i8 can never experience anything like you guys did in the old beast. The real CARS were made, now they just make vehicles made to go from point A to B. In this old Alfas people were sad when they arrived somewhere and couldn’t wait to get back in the car and go on.
