On the wallride, it’s important to keep the board flat as you go up, so what really helps with rotations is rotate the board as late as possible. If you could do a cab 1 to tailblunt on it (on the next switch day haha) - that’s sort of a “cheat way” to feel what it’s like to cab2 on tubes. Cheers🍻
@ryannpurvis2 ай бұрын
thank you for this! never thought of that trick on it. added to my list!
@SnowboardABCD2 ай бұрын
@@ryannpurvis My favourite trick on wallrides like this one, or any sideways placed feature really, is cab x to my regular back foot and continue spinning in a press. Also bs 1 to noseblunt and keep spinning. A bit finnicky and definitely safer on fat tubes rather than thin-top wallrides like this but once 180 is dialled in - not that much more difficult to continue spinning haha! It's been a while since I've done one of these but I imagine approaching with a slightly too much speed, popping off with a straight board off flat base, late 180 and landing to the other side would be the safest first try. With cab rotations, getting the board to stay straight right until you pop is probably the hardest part so practicing on side hits could help. Take this with a grain of salt though as all this comes from someone who once managed to tear the Achiless tendon on a late cab 270 to front board on a rail. Rooting for safe progression!

Hit the S with more speed. Use your momentum to help push yourself to the pipe so as your rounding into that right curve you can roll the board over the pipe to the right side and ride that curve out

go boardslide on the S rail. keep above the rail but press the foot slightly on the inside of each turn on the s and with more speed. like your board will sorta "seesaw" around the transition. dunno if im describing that well, but hope it helps. BS is easier than 50-50 on an S in my opinion

I kinda miss the drone shots in the jungle of the waterfalls and stuff though. I like watching you do what I've been too sick to do anymore. The view was worth the five hour hike.
