Hey!!
Welcome everyone! I’m bringing you a different type of video this time, hope you like it!
Before my trip to Bali, I had a Naked Yamaha MT-07, but when I got back I started to feel that that bike was not very useful for my day to day use.
So, I called my friend in the Honda Store and asked if he had a good deal for a new Honda ADV 350. Lucky me he had one almost brand new ready to go! So, I sold my MT-07 and bought this amazing scooter.
This a comparison of the performance of this scooter in the Highway vs. the in a National Road.
First, let's go to the Highway! It is certainly not a 700cc naked motorcycle, but it has its advantages, the front mirror helps a lot with the wind force, still has some power in it, you can notice I can easily be cruising at 130km/h and the confort on this scooter is amazing.
On one hand with a more powerful and heavy motorcycle you feel more safe riding at faster speeds, overtaking cars and controlling the side winds. But, on the other hand, a lighter bike makes you go slower, keeps you more in check and has a lot more confort.
I’m still feeling a little divided sometimes, because a Scooter is not the same as a motorcycle, with shifts, that pleasure of riding a motorcycle sometimes kicks in and I see my self missing my good old MT-07.
Now for the National Road!! And this is a very special one, not just because I live here and grew up here, but also because it is a very beautiful road, by the sea.
I’m going to take some time to reach it, but it is a good opportunity to show how good this bike feels and handles on this types of roads, National and more local ones.
It feels comfortable, responsive and very practical. It rides very smoothly, very easy to maneuver it and the 350cc engine has enough response to get it going very fast.
This was the main reason I decided to change to a scooter, it is much more practical to my current usage, fitting my day to day needs and not to speak about the almost 50lt storage space, under the seat, that can allow you to put up to two helmets and some jackets, while you’re going somewhere.
So in conclusion, when it's about Highway rides, I definitely prefer a bigger and stronger motorcycle, but for short distances and National Roads, the Scooter it is so much more practical and easy to ride.
Hope you enjoy!
