I rode it for the first time on the 14th this month, my favorite effect was the wind in the tornado scene. One of my favorite parts is how we randomly stumble into daisy’s dance studio in train cars and she just starts the class like it’s completely normal 😂😂, now that made me feel like I was in a cartoon short👏🙏😇👌!!!!!!

And they put subwoofers into the seat for rumble effects as well. 52 video servers run this ride since it’s all projection. When the lights are on the ride itself is all grey. I hope this means in the future some of the scenes can get custom holiday makeovers
@orange_turtle3412 Жыл бұрын
The screen moving up in the intro to reveal the hole in the wall is incredibly noticeable in person. No one in that room was questioning how they did it. The tornado room tho. You can feel that. And when you drop down the waterfall it feels like your actually falling.

I won’t lie. When I heard the Great Movie ride was replaced with this. I was very dissapointed. In my childhood my brother sister and I once rode this ride 3 times in a row. We loved it. Well. I finally got to experience the new ride and Disney did not disappoint. Mikey and Minie Runaway railroad was a perfect replacement to an iconic ride. And after 3 days in Disney with my children the only ride we rode twice was this one. I’d say it’s the perfect replacement.

Fantastic editing work here. Thanks so much for putting all the shots together the way you did - it's a lot easier to understand the story going on here this way. I honestly had no idea how Mickey & Minnie ended up in a tornado after the amusement park from other videos - you're the only one that made sure to show a shot of them getting sucked over into it. Plus I just like seeing as much of those animatronics as possible. The projection mapped faces kinda look weird at certain angles, but dang they are expressive as heck and look great! @@makennacampbell7892 i mean in my opinion, I think it would’ve been more cool and more magical if they had used the 1930s style for them as opposed to the the 2013 style, but both work! That’s probably what the commenter meant. I mean I personally could see this ride working with a multitude of designs. Heck, even if they used the more commonly well known modern version of Mickey (the 1940s one) it would’ve worked as well! As long as it still captures the spirit of these beloved Disney characters. Things to look for when you are riding Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway: On the bridge in the very first scene in the middle, you will see the number 1928 which is significant to Mickey’s on screen debut. In the carnival scene, there is a poster on the left side that says “The Great Moving Ride” and it’s a play on words to “The Great Movie Ride” which previously was held in the Chinese theatre. During the twister section, there is a mailbox that says “There’s no place like home” which is from The Wizard of Oz, originally there were going to be two scenes from the movie in The Great Movie Ride but due to licensing rights they were only allowed to use three minutes of the film’s dialogue so instead of using the twister scene at the end, they put a video of Sorcerer Mickey in Fantasia at the end of the ride. In the city scene there are a few references to Walt Disney Imagineering. One of them is the address of the flower shop. The sign says 1418 which is the number part of the address of the people who made Disney theme parks a reality.
