One of the best videos on KZbin for virtual biking. Got the excise bike setup in front of the big screen. Pouring rain freezing cold outside go for a virtual ride 😅

Hello, I’m leaving this comment from japan. And I’m curious about how hard to ride road bike in Auckland. What do you think? I probably ride there for commute or shopping or something.

The key is how often you have to climb the steep slopes, I guess.

Hi, riding a road bike around Auckland is relatively easy. Auckland has a plateau in the middle of it which is roughly 122m above sea level at its highest ( excluding volcanic summits) so if you are traversing the city you'll probably go up and then down 120m! It's not that bad though. The roads are generally ok and the cycle path infrastructure is improving. New Zealand car drivers can be aggressive and reckless (search youtube) so learning to pick safer times in the day is a good option ( That's what I do anyway) . Here's a good map from the council at.govt.nz/cycling-walking/cycling-walking-paths/ Good luck and thanks for comment. 🇳🇿🚴🏻♂️

This is a daily bike commute from Ponsonby to Māngere Bridge-12.8km. Unfortunately the Auckland Harbour Bridge has no bike lanes😳crazy eh.
