Yes, well... Think about it for a bit. No one truly can hide on the internet. Even without the GPS info, my street numbers are on my house when I pull away. Even without that... anyone who knows how to look at a map can count streets that are in my videos. Knowing where I live isn't a problem. We all know where the President lives, the Governor, and many officials. You might even know where a Federal Judge lives or maybe the Police Chief in your area. Does knowing where someone lives endanger the lives of their family? No, but if you you should decide to visit me with any other intention besides a cold beverage, then that's where laws take over, particularly those for self defense under the Castle Doctrine. Everything I do outside my home is viewable by the the public, just as it is for you. I am happy to share this part of my life with everyone, just as I am hoping you all are happy watching it.

Arkansas Outdoorsmen not according to ifsac evoc training. a national certification. The everyday driver expects emergency vehicles to pass left, consistency ensures public safety. In controlled circumstances, like on this call, passing on the right happened, only because there's no shoulder on the left and traffic was stopped about twenty cars deep. I did this because I could control a safe outcome.

I have been in Fire/EMS for about 15 years, and throughout that time I have never seen someone drive so reckless. I have held every rank in the service I know what it's like for comments that will come from the peanut gallery. You do realize if you hit someone or wrecked your vehicle going over the railroad tracks doing 92 MPH while on the cell phone none the less is reckless driving, reckless endangerment of the other motorists around you, among other things. Most Vehicle and traffic laws let emergency vehicles exceed the speed limit by 10 or 15 Miles Per Hour at the most not 30 over the speed limit when you are already late to the party. Your ability to use due regard as an emergency vehicle operator is unbelievable and I would suggest slowing down before you hurt someone or you hurt yourself. Unbelievable and these are the people who they allow to have lights an sirens in there personal vehicles. Typically Jolly Volly one fire per year and they spank it all the way to the call. 2nd alarm either it was just wrapping up and you made it to the end or that was a ridiculous command decision to strike a 2nd alarm. Would you look at that you rushed 95 Miles per hour to get there in time for over haul. Great job there Chief Great job! I hope I never end up in your district because that was nuts.

@michaelmontecalvo84563 жыл бұрын
I realize this was over 5 years ago but the science doesn't change. The reason people don't move over sooner is not necessarily their fault. In emergency services everywhere support vehicles are usually equipped with 100 watt siren systems. Law Enforcement, fire dept. support vehicles and some EMS are equipped that way unless they are specifically designed to have bigger batteries and alternators installed. Fire apparatus do... The Chief did a fine job responding but did you catch his speed during the response? A few times he reached speeds over 80 mph. According to the National Safety Council and others once your speed exceeds 60 mph you are outrunning the sound of your siren. The driver hears it but the public does NOT until you are on top of them. At 40 mph your siren is heard only 10 - 15 feet in front of you. Couple that with how quiet a vehicle interior is, radio playing, kids carrying on, etc. it is very possible those drivers don't know that EV is there until the last second. And yes, there are those drivers that just don't give a damn!

You need to watch your videos and just ask your self . I delayed 25 min. is it worth driving to the point that I might kill someone on the way. I'm a retired Fire capt./Ems and worked as a medic for the Swat team. If a cop saw you driving like that here in Florida he would have fallowed you to the scene wrote you some tickets. In your Pov the laws are not the same as if you were on the fire truck. you can't go into oncoming traffic , you have to stay in the left lane and stop at traffic lights before going and 15 mph over is the max. This is to help you now the laws. I retired after doing this for 35 year and seeing some young firemen get killed driving their Pov on a call(killed 2 firemen an a child) all over going to fast. I wish you the best and my god bless you
@paintballgaming10905 жыл бұрын
Stephen Wallace I doubt that will all those spelling errors your response laws are different then his and he cleared the intersections beautifully he didn’t blast through them he stopped and cleared them 15 over is also not true in my state we are allowed to do 70 no matter what the speed limit is
@JJGeneral15 жыл бұрын
Maybe for the volly's that aren't line officers. I know here in PA, the lower guys have blue lights and can't run red lights, or go through red on intersections. They're called "courtesy lights"... aka "can I get by you so I can get to the station faster". But the red lights/sirens on chief's vehicles and POV's.... you can go through intersections once clear (on red) and speed.... so yeah. also, chances are that 100% of the time, the cops who "would be following you" are going to already be at the scene, and won't even see you responding...
@Ninja-qm8bp5 жыл бұрын
Actually, depending on the state, he may be considered an emergency vehicle, which I believe he is. Here in Wisconsin, an Emergency vehicle MAY, proceed into oncoming traffic, proceed through stop lights and signs (after slowing to clear the intersection), and much more.

Good vid overall. Only suggestion would be a deeper toned siren than the halls, like a Carson, ppwercall, or such. Doppler effect is a bitch for road clearing. It's a problem that has plagued falls for years.nalternarively a higher volume output could counteract that. Do disagree with comments saying to get a rumbler or a eq2b. Eqbsuffers from the same Doppler effect problem, and the rumbler has a remarkably short range, resulting in the same "moving when 5ft away" issue here. Sadly can't fix stupid in drivers so have to do what you can instead

stephen peel, well that depends. What I do and allow in my department doesn't make a hill of beans anywhere else. We all may fight fire the same, but department policies differ greatly from Dept to Dept.. For example, I have a strict social media policy. My members can wear helmet cams, but the video needs to be approved before posting so that there's not a chance of sensitive information getting out from an ongoing investigation. However due to uh.. I guess relativistic lorentz velocity transformations, it can become challenging to hear the higher end notes of the siren tone as it is increased in tone by the vehicle approaching you at a velocity faster than you are traveling. ...that being said, he's the chief and if I remember correctly, also LEO, and he's recording his responses... so if anyone in the appropriate place of power over him would want to ridicule him for breaking some potential code or law would have likely done it already. Edit: Sorry, I've been lost in lectures all day. But yeah, the second sentence is my main point. lol

I couldn't post my pov responses online. My profuse cussing would not be good to have posted publicly.
