I love the Kia Forum. One of my favorite venues. I recently camped out there for the Linkin Park show and venue security and staff constantly checked in on us to make sure we all were ok and would converse with us. Seeing Lindemann there in October. A bit sad I didn’t see FIR though 😢.

When using the tune bot on the snare and you’re up in the 350-400 hz range, make sure to enable hi range mode. On my tune bot studio that is done by holding down the “range” button. It will pick up 350+ hz frequencies much better in that mode.

I am Dutch we only had Golden Earring as a big famous band. Once my band was support. Our stagecaptain got a guarrel with theirs, funny, we all sit around them and listen how they "fight". Anyway, I like DW but my real favorites were Noble and Cooly. And my second kit was made by German Drumpartners in Hannover, city of Scorpions. But then I was 36. I got May system mikes, installed inside. Our bands were mostly to small to have a drum tech. I like your work. Even small things you not forget, great!

You mention that two trucks at a time was all the dock could fit. Well, when this venue was built a big tour, I mean a huge tour, might have six trucks. Exceptions were like the Dead that took two just for their band gear much less their extra audio gear. I remember working the Sun Dome in Tampa that had an inflatable roof. Not only could it only hold two trucks at a time, you had to bring them through airlocks that added like 15 minutes to each in and out. Load in was bad but load out when everyone just wanted to GTFO was a royal pain in the ass.

When they built the place 55 years ago no one needed more than two trucks. In the mid 80's when i worked in an arena we had the same problem. Except it was an air supported roof. What a pain in the ass. You had to airlock one truck at a time. Unload it airlock. Rinse repeat. A show like Kiss was a major pain. Believe it or not U2 was easy then. Two trucks. Ah the 80's. When shows started spending more money on the bullshit and less on the music.

Was wondering on a day you are not absurdly busy if you could address mixing for drums. It has the lowest and highest frequencies and varied dynamics. Makes it difficult for everyone to do correctly- whatever that is.
