That's been the case in WoW since TBC, I would argue. Really disincentivizes me from ever wanting to farm anything when I know that it'll either be invalidated or made DRASTICALLY easier to obtain next patch.

@@Thorenic no tbc never had the "we give you the gear for less now" it all started in wraith when they indroduced the new, cool dungon finder and with this the sets that was just one tad bit behind current raid gear (the publinc raid grps, i forgot the name). and i think when cata came out you where actually able to straith up buy raidgear that was 1 tier behind but im not 100% sure abaout my cata statement it is after all years ago.

That set was such a "joy" to obtain. Like the super duper high droprate of SC tunic, the ease of getting 9 other people to do UBRS in the first place, soloing those giants outside Dire Maul to get 25(?) of whatever-item (with an insanely low droprate because it was outside DM) because no one was doing Dire Maul at all, summoning the duke(s?) and all the other bullshit quests almost no people was doing because they were already far ahead on items... Fooking hell. Never again. Never. Again.

Same here, i got only to level 55. Then i thought, man i need to do the same grind i did back in classic wow when i was playing on Kronos private server. That was when i didn't have the job and had a ton of free time, still it was exhausting. Now wasting my time on classic wow again? no thanks. I still have the sub but not playing it.

Gotta love being patience and procrastinating... took my time to do these and just breezed through it... only about 3 hours played a day... by the time I got to most of these they were "fixed" and "easier" :D Just need my helm to drop or 3 more undermine reals and I'll be done.

This is just outrageous. It's literally economic deflation for effort in the economy of gaming. If I know a house will cost less tomorrow, I will not buy a house today. This drives prices down down down. But here it's effort, achievement, and basically playing the game that is the currency. I guess maybe I'll subscribe tomorrow.

no because t.5 set was added as catch up gear so very few people did it as most already had better gear so drop rates and spawn rates made sense without 500 other people there
