This made me cry. I was disowned...actually abandoned as an infant. My grandmother had to come to the hospital to get me, and she has taken care of me my whole life. My birth mother contacted me and told me she loved me on facebook. I didn't respond. She died a few years later, found unresponsive and about 80lbs underneath a bridge. Died of HIV because of addiction.

My mum is putting me through so much. My anxiety has been really bad lately, and she’s been constantly pushing me to talk more and to stop being a “baby”. We’ve been having way more arguments lately and she even TACKLED me. It got so bad that I ran out of the house and my sister had to chase me. I’ve been having a lot of bad thoughts recently and I just feel like my life isn’t going to get better. I know this won’t last forever but it feels like it will. This channel has really helped me mentally and has made me feel more safe and confident in myself. Thank you

I was disowned a long time ago. I'm trying to find another place to live. So far I just have to probably be on the streets with a tent. Yea it's cold outside, yes I have issues but my parents never understand me and whatever is going on inside my head. They chose to disown me cos they don't care. I mean my mom does care but not my father. It's not my fault. I don't know what exactly to do. Tried cheering myself up but that doesn't work. Everything is just sad. I wish I had some place to go n a permit or license so I can drive. I'm 24 and still don't have a permit or driver's license yet. 😮‍💨

I will never come out to my parents while I live with them because I'm so scared of them disowning me. I love them and I don't want to lose my family but if they don't who accept me for who I am, there is nothing I can do.

Coming out can be very difficult. Some parents just don’t understand. Others are shocked at first, and then come around, and some just love their kids unconditionally. I am a parent, and when my daughter hurt came out to me as trans, she said, “I’m not worried about telling you dad, as I know that you will be fine.” It was one of my proudest moments as a parent, to know that my daughter was not scared to tell me. :).

@ That is a very wise approach. My advice to anyone, is come out when it is safe to do so. Sometime after my daughter came out to me, she suggested that I take a look at non-binary, as she believed that I was. I looked into it, and realised that she was right, I am non-binary. It was a life changing moment for me. I felt at so much peace, before that I always felt out of place. I’m a boomer, and we were taught that sex and gender were the same thing. Learning that they were different things blew my mind. :) 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Honestly this video is very comforting to see and listen to considering I almost go disowned recently and honestly it was scary I know I can be very stupid at times but that doesn't mean I need to be threatened to be kicked out and disowned and the part that made it even harder at the time was my mother moved to a different province like a year ago and if I did get kicked out I would've had no where to go (I do still see my mother during breaks in school like Christmas and summer ect.)
