I always heard you have to stack 2 of these to get a decent heavy/thick tone.....is that true?

I wouldn't stack them since there's already quite a bit of distortion in this pedal. The tone is plenty thick all by itself.

You ever put the death metal pedal through the effects loop? The metalzone through the effects loop of tube amps sounds really good i was wondering if it was the same for the death metal pedal.
