I remember here in the states Lain came on TechTV real late, like 1am. TechTV had an anime special during that time where they played weird stuff, not the run of the mill shounen like on Cartoon Network. I remember that feeling of staying up way past my normal bedtime, past when any of my family members stayed up, to watch shows like Lain and Ergo Proxy. While the world was sleeping I was cramming my own sleep deprived head with existential fears and dark tragedies, yet there was an odd comfort to that. I was safe BECAUSE the world was asleep. I could experience these dark emotions and all the catharsis that came with it without the burdens of fake smiles and smalltalk. If I wanted to cry I could, who would judge me? It's in the safety of that darkness that I found a deeper part of myself. Lain is a fantastic moniker for Jvnes music. It's the exact same safe dread of watching psychological horror alone under a cozy blanket on the couch in your family home.

It sucks that I only found Sewerslvt about a year ago and that she's quit. She introduced me to this type of music (whose genre I don't even know the name of to this day) and now we'll never be able to hear more of it. Hearing this music brings me to a sort of feeling of peace, and knowing there'll be no more of it is a little gut-wrenching. But I guess if this is what it takes for her to lead a happier (or at the very least a healthier) life, then I guess I can tolerate it. Thanks for the upload 🖤 Edit: SHE'S BACK!!!!

@@korosuke1788 Yeah, this kind of style was pretty common mainly in the early 2000s if my crate digging for house, trance and techno serves me right regarding that era. Kind of amusing considering around that time I was still far too young to go clubbing, being in my pre-teens, and Sewerslvt according to the age that's been mentioned in the past is even younger than me. The fact there's still zoomers out there diving into these older forgotten styles and inspired to make similar music, even if with modern touches gives me some comfort in knowing they're still as curious as us millennials have been for decades, despite what we're told.

Sewerslvt’s music, for me, is great as it outlines the messiness of life. Life isn’t clean and clear cut like the world would want you to believe, but full of emotion, filth, and heartbreak. We’re all experiencing our own stories and living with the consequences of our actions - positive or negative and Sewerslvt’s music captures this and presents it in a format where we can reflect on ourselves. Jvne, you are the most underrated artist I’ve come across in my entire life, and though it saddens me that you’ve retired, I want you to know that you’ve left a deep impression on myself and many others. Truly, you are a wonderful person.

Man this whole compilation feels like a frivolous fever dream of self destruction, in a good way, but then 'goodbye' as the end song feels like a cold and emotional awakening

I feel that Euphoric Filth never got as much attention as it deserved, it is such a sexy trance that drives me from the inside to either follow the beats, or shake my whole damn skeleton while thinking of those voices, the way the just shape anything around into another part of the soundscape, even the quietest things acquire some form of vibration. It is a bewildering song that, the more I try to stop listening, the more I want to keep it playing. Be it while doing absolutely nothing, or absolutely everything.

porn music that’s actually good. yk when there’s a porn video but whoever made the video compilation just put the loudest and shittiest track they could probably find. Imagine instead of shitty and annoying porn music it was good porn music
