Thanks for the upload. Mine is about 1 year now and it's not as hit as ur used to be. Also when using just for hot water or as intended to use with the capsules it's bit as hit as it once was. Do I have to use the tablets or can I use a liquid multi purpose de-scaling liquid like I use in my kettle?. Thanks in advance.

I actually find vinegar as a cleaning/descaling works the best from what I've tried so far (1 cup of vinegar to 2 cups of water)

Hi, just a FYI, no vinegar or cleaning solution in your water is needed for Your descaling, I know you said you don't but after you use the cleaning solution you would run fresh water through before your next cup of joe, just my opinion, good vid

Thanks for the upload. I have the same model. I ran the descaling program a few times already (in a row) and the light keeps coming back on. It makes one cup of lukewarm coffee and lights up. Any suggestions?

I would try running vinager (1 cup) of vinagar and 2 cups of water thru it (descale it with that mixture) rather then just water, this will act as a cleaning solution also. You may have to do the solution twice, then one more time with just water to get rid of the vinagar that maybe left in the brewer so your first few cups of coffee don't have an odd taste :) hope this helps.

You must be able to add a BRITA Mantra water filter to reduce hardware in the water passing through the machine. The screen is to show how long the filter cartridge will last. When inserting a new cartridge filter press start on the top of the cover until it reaches 100% and stays on at 100%. 30 and 60 day cartridges are available. Hope this helps.

Just refill the water tank with water (no descaling solution) all the way to the "Max Line". Then run the full descaling program again. After the program runs completely you will get the yellow "standby" light on and the red "descaling" light will be off. Next time you descale, be sure and fill your water tank to the "Max Line" before running the descaling program. Hint: An incomplete cycle (not full tank) is what makes the red light stay on. In other words, it's staying red to tell you to run a full cycle

No it was just water, some people put vinegar in the water during this process, but all I use it water that I put through my Britta filter and have never had any issues to date.

I think you are referring to the service disk, the yellow one that is used to allow you to put water through your Tassimo. if you don't have it you can order them usually through Amazon under Tassimo service disk. Some people are using the old milk disc similar to what you would get when you buy the cappuccino kits where you have the two discs to make a cup of cappuccino. If you put the milk disc in you will be able to run the water vinegar mix through the machine similar to using a service disc. I hope this helps let me know how you make out have a great day.

Both vinegar and descaling solutions work equally well when it comes to descaling. Some people say that the white vinegar leaves a lingering taste, but many also tout it as the ideal method to clear away limescale. Some manufacturers, like Mr. Coffee, solely recommend white vinegar to clean their machines.
