@cantwaitkid3 жыл бұрын
Im no pro by any means, but the only thing that I could suggest is that the powder has settled and packed to tightly, then when the air is introduced into the box,it loosens or "liquifies" the surrounding supply. Then what may be happening next is a pile will "avalanche" down to the pick-up tube and you'll get an unwanted surge supply. Try fluffing up the whole box loosening all of rhe powder tying not to bang the box around allowing the powder to settle like a box of fruity pepples. Hope this helps.

So glad I found seen this video. Hate that your dealing with this issue but I’m glad to know I’m not the only one. I use a cheapo gun and with certain powders I deal with spiting powder. Looks like you're using a wagner gun you need to be adjusting your nozzle and spraying from a further distance for certain parts of the object. Also you're getting massive surges of powder which aren't getting chance to be charged causing the powder to simply fall down and cause build up at the bottom. Thirdly on a heavy metallic powder like that you need to lower your powder to air ratio. If you're still having the same problems simply take the noob approach and place your hand on the bottom rear side of the wheel and tilt it forwards so that the powder falls off instead of building up

Get a keyboard cleaner for a good surge sprayer or use your air hose more carefully, repainting after the first coat never is as good as it could have been, and not just because of the heat; from my experience anyway. Also, cleaning the equipment and checking your air supply or grounding is often the things people overlook beyond the lighting and PPE

Dude... Dude. I think yesterday (Wednesday) was a universal rage day. It's not just your gun surging, my optiflex pro does it too. Ive adjusted air and cloud all over the place and the only thing that seems to fix it is shaking the pick up tube or pulling it out of the powder and blowing it out then going back at it. I ruined a set of pulleys yesterday because I was trying to shoot primer hot to fill some pitting and it surged as well as the cloud kept changing. Result, sagging on the bottom of a couple of them. Very frustrating and I hope just an isolated problem. If you have a work around, I'd love to hear it.

Thought on it and I think it was my powder. I think it got compacted. To fix take bag out of box and roll it a bit on the floor to break it up. I'm gonna try it.

My powders like to do like fire extinguishers and get settled in (compacted) I’ll either roll the bag on the floor like Dan suggested or if leaving the bag in the box just kinda mash it up. Seems to help
@TheRealJamieKuhn3 жыл бұрын
Just a check back. So my powder was pretty compacted. I fluffed it up and it seemed to help a good bit but the zinc primer still had a bit of not really surging but waves of thick to thin clouds, not crazy and unusable but like small waves. I tinkered with the air and was able to get it to mostly flow evenly. Just going to chalk it up to being a heavier powder. The color sprayed fine after fluffing it. Might make it a part of my powder load routine.
