Powder snow in middle of June at Riksgränsen !! | Yamaha Sidewinder MTX

I thought my season ended 13th of May.. Not even close. I made two trips to Riksgränsen after that. First one was little bit unlucky but second trip was so great! I took a both my sleds into the trip! We got friends from Norway for second day. It was also fun test old Yamaha Apex mountain turbo! Such a legend! We had such a big group I think about 20 sleds ( 15 from Finland and 5 from Norway).
This coming weekend it's time to European biggest snowmobile expo to Rovaniemi! Meet you there. :)

Nice video man ! I was wondering how does your 4 stroke likes being rolled over ? I just bought a viper and was told to never roll it since oil would get everywhere in the motor.

You can roll it like 2 stroke No problem. 👍 But engine have to be shut down always when you rolling it.

I think powder means dry snow. There was about one 1ft fresh powder snow.🤘in middle of june.

There’s a reason why he is driving it like that and the reason is track speed.

@@pokoo112 you can get track speed with a constant throttle. I do it all the time. It’s a learnt behavior, and since the track is always spinning, and not hooking up there’s no instant acceleration as in dirt or pavement there’s no negative consequence, other than wearing things out, faster and perhaps a little instability.

@@Captndarty And do you have also Sidewinder? It produce 30 % more track speed than 2 stroke. Why I'm blipping throttle beginning of video because I can hold nose down easier with those slush conditions. 👌If I would keep throttle same position it would produce too much track speed to keeping nose down in steep slushy hills.

Sometimes blipping is essential to maintain the best possible control and sometimes more steady throttle is better. Depends on the snow and the hill you're riding. In many cases you get much better feedback of the snow if you are blipping. So there is no one correct way to do it.
