This is the size I rode throughout the eighties and nineties - nice big 10"x30" decks with wheels from 60mm to 66mm. Great for concrete ditches, big curbs, and skateparks. I've got a new setup that I'm building to burn off all that lock-down fat - Madness Hora Blunt with Thunder Hollows and 60mm Powell Dragons in 93A! Enjoy the ride, man!

Kick ass man. Sold me on these wheels. I was using the Dragon G Bones and loved them but would like to go with the harder 97a's on another board to pick up speed. Dude, you're riding is awesome! Exactly the style I go for.

I've been riding my old Rat Bones for a while, but got a set of Street Cubes for the 31 X 10.75 G-Force repro board I'm going to laminate myself. These look like they have the speed I like. I'll have to give them a rip.

Gnarly park! Giant bowl and infinite circuits. I am considering buying the new Ripper Flight deck, but 9.7". Also, it has more nose and concave, it seems great.

Ive been looking at those wheels and wondered if 1/2" riser is a good match with them. Theres a old crusty park by my house that has a good design but too rough for harder 54mm wheels

I got the 61mm mountain trip wheels, with the ace af1s and I swear it's the best ride I've had yet the aces feel like they were made for bowls, I'm actually looking at the wheels you're riding in this video since I have half inch risers I'm not able to get a pinch when I'm trying pivots or 5-0s

@@CJWest I prefer harder bones wheels Or Spitfires but Bones bc I skate parks mainly and they haul ass and lock in. My current is a Wink deck, 169s and 60mm bones with raws and 1/4 risers

Nice board, and nice lines/carves man. Do you think the 64mm Bones you are using (I think those are G-bones 97A?) are faster than a harder (84b or 103a) 60mm wheel? Just wondering, and considering trying.

Good question! I’ll answer in a few ways. Being 40 and not 14, I have more money and blow it on different setups so I actually do have many wheel sizes, trucks, decks and bearings. I’ve noticed Bearings plays the biggest factor for speed. I rock Bronson raws or ceramics. I sucked at carving compared to now. I do way better lines these days and will touch the coping. The G-Bones will go extremely fast. I have 3 sets, white, black and green. My 11 year old skated them on a Frankie Hill reissue from PP! Learned to grind, backside air and rock to Fakie on em. They seem great when a person is comfortable on them. Fast forward a year and I’m really liking my 56mm Bones P5 side cut 84b. I feel they lock in best of all wheels I’ve ridden so far. Spitfire full conical are dope for transition too!! In the end, 64mm is a bit large for me. I skate pools more than anything else so I don’t have a problem with them at all but I still would rather be in the 54-58mm range. I do have 60’s and they are awesome but the 64’s are faster

I did a little skating as a kid, never made it to a bowl/skatepark, but spent a bit of time with a wooden quarter-pipe that a neighbor had built, back in the mid-1980's. I decided to learn how to carve around bowls and to learn some basic half-pipe/transition skills around the age of 50, so I have been trying different board shapes, set-ups and combinations as well. Nice ripper flight deck by the way! I've tried many different types of wheels, and am finding that I do best with larger, harder wheels (Spitfire conical full, and the Bones P5 84b as well, in 58 and 60mm sizes). Thank you for sharing your observation about the bearings!! I've just been doing Bones redz. Cheers!
