I loved that place as a kid. That’s the first spine half pipe and bowl I skated on. The roll in to pyramid to Wall was awsome as well. We’d get someone’s parents to drive us the hour drive to Santa Barbara from The valley get dropped off and skate all day long. Or they would have all nighters, which they would literally lock us kids in until 8am.You’d buy a membership and get a Powell Picture ID that’s you’d show to get in. I’ve been looking for footage on KZbin of this place for ever.

would drive up from ventura any time i had enough gas money to make the round trip. that place was our Disneyland and that mini ramp was one of the best in the world. i remember how stoked i was doing my first lean to tail on the pool coping vert wall and board sliding down the curved fun box. Best memories thanks Powell. wish i had a video camera back then.

it's awesome you open up your vaults for the common people here on youtube... and I know most people are satisfied with some online clips nowadays... but DAAAAMMMNN.. I'd give my left arm for an official DVD release with the 80's to early/mid-90's PP promo stuff (axe rated, anyone?), tour videos and so on!!

Used to go there for a private session with my dad I would push around around on my knees cause I was so little. I still remember that camel hump to this day. Wish I could have skated it after growing up. RIP skatezone

It was freaking weird in the day. You'd like show up on contest day, and you get a shitshow like this with everyone riding all at once, and it was fun and expected and all good, but on regular days if someone snaked you or just unawares on the other side of the ramp, it was ass kicking time.
