I quit skating 25 years ago. Now I'm in constant pain, I have medical problems, can't work, on Disability.. Just yesterday I got big daddy Heron.. Just the deck, I have to wait till I can afford the rest. Your board was so ingenuitive, and I'm a tall big dude, so I fell in love way back when you first released it, but only just got it now. I'm hoping I can find some rehabilitation in it, even if I'm just cruising. I want the board I always dreamed of, but could never have. That's your board man. That's you. Thank you for being you Andy. You inspire.

Here's to hoping you get your setup completed soon and get out skating to any degree that you can. I'm 34 and picked skating back up again after a 16-year break. I'm finally doing something I love again instead of only ever leaving home to work or mandatory shop. I have something again where I'm in full control. Where I can put effort in and see results unlike at work where I can put in all I have and watch people with half the experience and 10% the drive get thrown in front of me because they have the right friends. I feel alive again.

I've been on the Heron 2 for over a year now, and I'll never go back 🤣 Getting anywhere from a couple of weeks skating hard, upwards of 3 months when I get lucky, and I love the tail/nose shape for spin tricks. Absolutely my favorite shape, hoping it sticks around

does it sometimes break after a few weeks? what makes you retire it? I heard the flight decks basically don't snap, that's why I ask.

@@edelhardtearnhardt8171 I break a regular maple deck in a few weeks, very rarely will they make a month without chipping or outright snapping to the point where they're unusable. Flight decks pretty much don't snap, but eventually the tail gets so short that you can't pop for shit 🤣 So far, I've only seen one Flight Deck actually snap but I used it for 6 months or so, and it went through two more people before the third kid finally broke it lol and he skated it while it was cracked for a week or two.

@K_spawn8 ай бұрын
So I've skate this thing for like 2 months now, initially it was hard to do tricks on it, I couldn't Ollie, it felt weird for like 2 weeks, but then! As it wore out I got better and better, the tail and nose lost their original shape but my tricks improved instead, it does chip away easily but I counter it with super glue, and cruise wise , it is a stable board I imagine the 9.13 is even more stable , but this one is fine for me at least, oh yeah also I had to switch back to 53 mm dragons because of wheel bite, I'm using forged hollow indys 144 with no risers

For flips, it will feel awesome to have the smaller board. The egg and the Vajra have the same foot space and almost the same length.
