A Native name was given to me by an aged, blind Ojibwa leader 35 years ago after he "felt" my spirit as I was standing near a table where his granddaughters were selling handmade native jewelry. Some were so beautiful and intricate, but one took my breath away for an instant. I held the item in my hand - a silver eagle ring - and I closed my fingers around it saying to the young ladies how astonished I was at the power I was feeling at the beauty and accuracy in the design. I placed the item I was holding back on the table and wished them well in their endeavors that day. But before I was done talking I saw one of the grand-daughters rush over to her grandfather because he was lifting himself off of the chair he was sitting on and walking toward me. He hadn't walked on his own for many years I was later told. He came so close to me and I saw the most amazing face I have ever seen ... full of wrinkles, scars, dried skin, blind eyes and hands that were completely crooked from arthritis. He was beautiful. With the help of one granddaughter he stood in front of me and, in a soft, quiet, gentle voice, he told me that I have an eagle spirit. He felt it when I sighed to myself after holding that silver eagle ring. Then he placed his hands on both sides of my face and gently tapped me twice; then he placed his hands on my shoulders and tapped me twice; and then he took both of my hands into his and placed the eagle ring into my hand, closed my fingers around it and began to chant in a soft native voice ... after which he said: "Your name is MoonEagle". I still wear that ring today and I wish I had the means to take a photo of it to show all of you but I do not. Its wings wrap themselves around the sides of my finger with the head of the eagle facing forward as if flying - sometimes I feel like it is lifting me into the sky. From a wonderful song by the Steve Miller Band, I paraphrase these lines: I want to fly like an eagle and let its spirit carry me. MoonEagle.

I needed this ❤️ eagles have been showing themselves to me nearly everyday. A bald eagle flew right at and over me and my boyfriend days after I asked for something nearly identical to happen. I honestly cried. Like a baby lol. I'm ever so grateful and honored.

I cannot put into words how significant and healing this teaching is for me today. Before I was aware of what it meant to journey, I had several incredible journeys with the magnificent Eagle where I could see from the eye of the Eagle and was shown some events that were very upsetting to me. I did not know if what I seen had already happened or would happen and I’ve carried this not knowing with me. I see now from this teaching that what Eagle was showing me was a reflection of the energy I was in at that time and the reality I was creating for myself with my negative, fear-based thoughts. Eagles 🦅 have been appearing to me in many locations in many activities. When I do not see her she often calls out loudly. I have wondered what she is communicating to my spirit. Peacock 🦚 has also recently been appearing in front of me in very random places where there should not be a random peacock. And 🦉 owl. All large winged animal spirits. Thank you Alberto. ✨🙏 two eagles flew high overhead a month ago, but twice in the last couple weeks they glided very close over just above my car. Red tail hawk did this as well. I live in the suburbs so this is not common activity. Pls share your insights on what gliding in low means to you, or what questions I might ask myself to help me interpret. 🌸
