Oh, I love that!! "PowerPoint and Excel had a baby and that is Power Apps"!! I tell people that Power Apps is "MS Access in the cloud". Millions of customers have wanted to be able to build MS Access databases for the web and since MS removed the Access Web Apps the nearest tool for that is now Power Apps.

Hello! Amazing video! I hope someone can help me :( I am trying to create sort of a knowledge base for my team at work, but my info or data source comes from OneNote and Teams (a private channel I created), it includes links, PDFs, excel files and I would LOVE for my team to see all this info like an app so that only one person can edit the information and the rest and see it and access it. Is PowerApps the best option to do this? And can I import my info from OneNote and Teams itself? Thank you!
@AprilDunnam4 жыл бұрын
Hi Grace - Power Apps could be an option for that. There is a OneNote for Business connector that you can get information from a page and display it in there.
@HikaruLychee4 жыл бұрын
@@AprilDunnam OMG you replied, thanks sooo much!! So what you are saying is using Power Apps and export the information from OneNote, is that correct? Because using OneNote by itself could be tricky because people could edit the information and that's what I don't want, I only want them to see it, or get the links, download the files, etc. Thank you so much once again! Been watching Power Apps videos every single night to see if this works for my idea
@AprilDunnam4 жыл бұрын
@@HikaruLychee Yes exactly, you can use the OneDrive connector and export the data into Power Apps with an HTML control or Rich Text Input so that users can read it but not change the text.

Why is everyone doing the "here is my intro" crap? At least Shane and Reza do it too. Not sure if this is a widespread cliche. - Btw, the content is very good.
@AprilDunnam3 жыл бұрын
Shane was the original one, then I started incorporating it and then Reza not long after. If you think it's crap you can skip past. Most of us include timestamps in the videos to go directly to what you want. Why do I do it? Because it gives me a way to tell people what I talk about and point them to where they can contact me and is a good way to break out the intro and the content. It's a very common formula for many KZbinrs - tell an overview - intro graphic - content - wrap up. To be fair, when I realize the exact words "here's my intro" were being everywhere I started changing how I do things just because I wanted to have some originality in my content. I'm sure you didn't mean to be offensive in your comment. We are all learning and experimenting with different ways of doing things on our KZbin channels .
@_sonicfive3 жыл бұрын
@@AprilDunnam no harm intended. Your content is phenomenal by the way. You have a gift I wish I had. Not skipping your content. The intro thing is just a personal preference.
