Nice, I like the debugging feature. Def see use cases for this across all my apps.

Very cool! Yeah, once I used it on one app, I kept finding more and more handy uses for it. Love it so much. Thanks for the engagement, man. When's your next video hitting the press? 😀

@PowerApps Tutorial Hopefully Monday, someone was asking about cascading galleries, where 1 gallery filters to another gallery. Easy Concept once you got it, but I feel like repetition is the key :)

I saw on your template shell that it said "Testing...." I have tried a couple of things lol but can't figure it out. How can I make it say Testing instead of True?
@PowerAppsTutorial2 жыл бұрын
Let me know if I don't understand what you're asking, but if you want a label to say "Testing", you could just use an If expression like this: If(gblShowDebugging, "Testing....", ""); Does that solve what you were going for?

Great video! Is there a reason you didn't add this toggle as part of the compHeader component?
@PowerAppsTutorial2 жыл бұрын
That's a great question. By default, components aren't aware of variables and their values from the application they are being used from.

Hi Darren, recently started with the Power Platform. I must say your video's are awesome. A little question regarding to permissions within an app. Would it be possible to have multiple permission levels and and manage them directly within the app. I'm playing with the idea to have 3 different group types (like in SharePoint Owner, Member, Visitors). The Owners are able to add Members and Visitors. Members can add, delete and remove data . Visitors can only read. How would you approach such a scenario? Thanks in advance.

Nice, I missed a function that would make de debuging toggle visible or not depending on if the user is a developer or not.

If you need that kind of functionality, set the visibility property of the controls you want to toggle to a variable. Then update the variable based on the logged in user access rights🙂
