When are you starting the campaign on indiegogo?
@jaxonsandwith5023 жыл бұрын
will the dc cord coming with the early bird bundle have a hot swappable tip/ connector
@MojoPapiFPV3 жыл бұрын
I want you and this project to succeed but the pricing seems a bit steep even for early bird. You can get 25-27k mAh 100W PD packs for around $75. The Anker Powerhouse 200, 213Wh/57600mAh is $180 which is just $30 over the Poly std price. If you can get this between $80-$100 I think the campaign will do really well but for $130 it should probably include the AC adapter, obviously, I'm hoping you can still make a good profit and and recoup your investment at that price point as well.
@Raress963 жыл бұрын
@@MojoPapiFPV PowerHouse 200 is 260$, where did you get your pricing from?Also, that thing is huge, not targeted to the same audience. And this is not just a PD pack, it has the DC in/out port which honestly is the best thing about this, and not many other power banks have that. I agree that it should come with the AC adapter though, on the site it says 149$ for the power bank + AC, but on Indiego it's 129$ early bird for just the power bank, and the AC module is 35$, so that's 164$, which doesn't seem quite right. Probably the pricing on the site is wrong or something, I'm sure it's going to be updated after the campaign starts. Yeah, the price is high for the DIY community, but compared to commercial products at 200+$, I think the price is perfectly fine. The plans will also be released after the campaign ends, so you can build your own if you want to.

How does the expandable battery pack work when your main unit is dead and the expandable unit is charged. Does it charge the battery in the main unit or only power the USB? Also It appears that all the expansion modules are 3D printed enclosures, 3D printing at quantity scale is very time consuming. How do you plan to overcome this. What are your plans when you have to delever thousands of units? Do you have experience in global logistics/shipping to make sure there isn't any major delays?

This is a phenomenal idea. I do a lot of austere medical work in developing countries, and this hits all the right note for me for power in those types of areas. I just started following your channel (upsidedown 3d printer), and seeing the quality of your engineering design skill made it an easy decision to back the project (I got the optional modules as well). Can't wait to get it!

I'm wondering how the battery module works... For me the swappable Lithium ion battery pack was always the best feature of your Powerbanks. Can you attach a battery module and keep charging, even if the battery in the main housing is empty?

Man, I did not get a notification for this video. I would have jump on that campain without a second thought.
@Divyesh_Sinha2 жыл бұрын
Your website says it can charge a Macbook pro 4.5 Times Your Powerbank is 92.5Whr Considering its 95% Efficiency Usable capacity is 87.8whr at the 100W PD port A Macbook battery is of 57.1whr(5152mah X 11.1v, from your website example) so 87.8/57.1= 1.5 Times Which wayyy far from the 4.5 times claim So.....can you explain this? What I am Assuming you did is Took 25000mah multiplied it 93% efficiency 25000mah X 0.93 = 23,250mah 23250/5152 = 4.5 Times But you missed that the laptop has 3 of 5152mah cells That makes it a 15456mah battery

holy shit the video looks way better than i expected, well done. just one question will the pcb scematics be released like your previous powerbank or do i have to buy one wait 1.5 years and then take i apart, since all i want is the pcb you designed to build my own powerbank?
@kralyn3d3 жыл бұрын
PCB schematics will be released when the production run is finished, since changes might have to be made based on Chip availability (there is a global chip shortage) functions will be the same though.

I hate how there are sooo many power banks out there yet this is the most efficient one I've ever seen, and people think the ones they have are good enough.. I think this one should be the industry standard. A Little too expensive for me but I'd still recommend it

Yeah, seems expensive compared to DIY stuff, but compared to what is on the market, it's actually a really good value and offers features that other don't have.

I think there is some mistake in calculating power bank capacity. As batteries are connected in series the capacity does not increase and remains the same that is 5000mah. So, the total power bank capacity is 5000mah and not 20,000mah.
@engineer02393 жыл бұрын
It would be 25000mah if it was only 1S. Even if thats not true every commercial smartphone or Powerbank is specified that way for easier comparison (although Wh would work fine as well)
@chetanshintre73553 жыл бұрын
@@engineer0239 As you said it would be 25000mah if it was only 1S but in this case they are connected 5s1p configuration. And speaking of other power bank with less or no fast charging facility, the power bank batteries are connected in parallel to achieve that capacity.
@dennisolsson31193 жыл бұрын
Would be interesting with a version sans batteries... For ease of shipping, toll and if someone would like to tweak the capacity from the beginning.

Myself 1000 lumen handheld flashlight gets pretty hot on max brightness. I could imagine a 5000 lumen 25w light might be 5 times worse. What are some of the things you're doing to address overheating? Is the light 100% duty cycle? ("up to 10 hours" ) Or will it overheat and turn off? Thanks!

00:29 i just noticed that on your indiegogo photo of the ac plug accessory and on this video that the ac plug has the bigger blade/prong on the right instead of on the left. why is that? first i thought it was a mirror image, but it appears consistent on the video. the smaller plug is typically on the right prong not left.
