Hey Alex. Excellent series! Love all your videos and your point of view with your background in both VBA, and Python. I hope that you will someday make videos relating MSAccess front ends/forms with Python script as backends doing all the heavy lifting and leveraging the libraries. Then sending the data back to Access, SQL server, etc.

Thank you for mentioning the required license for exporting the reports at 12:00 I was about to try it. It's such a shame when it's impossible for Pro/Prem Users to export reports automatically.

It would be great if we could create visualizations inside reports from zero as we create charts in Excel with VBA!! Did you find anything? This should be included in the Power BI Rest API

Nothing directly through the REST API, at least from what I can tell. The only thing you can do at this point is use Power BI Embedded Analytics API to create custom visuals. However, that was written for JavaScript so it's hard to write Python code that would mimic those operations. Not saying it can't be done, but just a much more complicated task.

Hei Alex! Great video! However I have a question regarding embedUrl of a report. I have created a simple Django app with python, and want to embed a report into HTML. I get connected with a pro account to PBI, extract all the data i need (report_id, group_id, embedUrl) however when I pass it to the template {{ embed_url }} I get nothing but a blank screen with PBI logo flashing. I though there maybe was a problem with access_token, but as I understand python-power-bi module takes it as 'credentials' from the .jsonc file (which I have with all the access_tokens n stuff). Could you reply/explain a bit about how to do this? What I am trying to do here is to create a simple web (few templates) with Django, where one does not need to login every time to see an embeded report of some sort (Report.Read) basically. I hope I explained it clearly enough, and I hope you will reply :) Thnx in advance! It would be of a huge help to me as a junior dev, since I can not find any resource on this...

Alex, off-topic to this video but look at this guy's vid series of creating a trading bot with Elixir / OTP. Very cool stuff. I always thought that OTP would be an ideal environment for building a highly resilient/reliable auto-trading system. So much of the infrastructure is already built-in to OTP's generic server where it helps you to manage state and re-starting of Elixir's processes. Kamil's vids are giving me a lot of food for thought and felt you might enjoy them too. Lots of possibilities if I can get TOS and IB connected to an Elixir/OTP trading system.
