It is possible when its done in Import Mode. (It becomes a flattened structure of data). Direct Query tends to allow only the same source to be connected out with each other.

How to schedule refresh if data is getting imported from SAP BW and in data prompts date is selected

Schedule request will work the same way. You can navigate to the dataset of the report in settings inside Power BI Service. Enable the schedule refresh there.
