New player here, started the game on Guardian went into Willbender. Still learning that build. Back in the day I played Mesmer as my main in GW1. I loved that class and flexibility... I'm guessing that Mesmer is similarly flexible in GW2, but I've been concerned that it will be even harder to learn than Willbender. Would you be willing to share the build/gear that I should work toward if I want to try to learn Mesmer Roaming/PvP? Please assume that I know nothing about it, because that's basically where I'm at right now. Enjoyed your video and got here by way of Homage3 because I like his stuff and enjoyed your team up with him immensely.

@@matthewmcguigan4293 you have two options really, chrono can almost do anything in any gamemode how ever it’s one of the more complicated classes to learn specially if you’re new. On the other hand you have virtuoso which is a lot easier but doesn’t translate well to core,chrono, or mirage because it takes away Mesmers class mechanic (clones) and dumbs it down to an ammo skill. I’d suggest meta battle just to look at your different options and each build will show the basic functions and things you can adjust/swap out in fairly decent depth for just starting out.

@@berrybadplayer Thank you for writing back and offering suggestions on where to start. The flexibility of Chrono sounds like a good place for me to start even if I am failing a lot. I always wanted my GW1 mesmer to turn invisible... So, this is going to help me fulfill that idea. And I'm already used to dieing frequently as a guardian, so the steep learning curve won't stop me from trying to figure out how to make it work. I accidentally joined a zerg guild for WvW purposes, but my heart belongs to roaming already... I'm sure they won't mind. Lol
