The only track I know that was equally loved by DJ Keoki of Limelight 90s NYC fame and Frankie Knuckles Godfather of House fame - OUTSTANDING TRACK!!

I was looking for this track for more than 20 years. Only had it on a recorded Frankie Knuckles Hot97 tape from 1995 and never heard it again somewhere else. So cool!

Ion - Can you share the Frankie Knuckles tape? I worked on this remix and would love to hear how Frankie used it!
@ionsounds3 жыл бұрын
@@Audiokinstudios I'm sorry, it's literally an old cassette. I don't have it digital form. Also it's not really integrated in the mix. I think he played it as the finisher of his set and I got only 2 minutes of it on the tape, before it ends. Still, this tape opened my mind to house music really.
@Audiokinstudios3 жыл бұрын
@@ionsounds now worries - maybe I can find it online. Could you shoot me a pic of the cassette? Any dates or names that might help me figure out when he made the mix? There's a lot of Hot 97 archives out there on the web - so I might get lucky!
@ionsounds3 жыл бұрын
@@Audiokinstudios Not really. I was already trying to find as much of this Hot97 house nights as I could. But I've never found this specific one. I only know that it should be from 1995. Many of the tracks can be found on other mixtapes online, but I've never heard this specific track again. Only until recently when I've heard Maceo Plex on hudson river NY, here on youtube. He's playing it there and I was able to find a setlist and track it down. Hooray to the internet! :D My memory is like from an elephant when it comes to recognizing old tracks.

One of the few prog-house type records from the early 90s that I didn't sell. Still brilliant. If I remember correctly, mixes v nicely into Close Encounters by The Orb - one of my all-time favourite tracks.

Does anyone remember another track (i think it was by power circle but definitely on the same M&G label) that had a picture of a bomberplane on the sleeve of the 12 inch? It was in this same progressive house style from memory.

This is basically Pete Lazonby's "Sacred Cycles."
@backtobasicsrtepulse253910 жыл бұрын
What? Even though 'Sacred Cycles' came out a year later?
@schtuss10 жыл бұрын
Backtobasics Rtepulse You are right! I forgot that "Sacred Cycles" was only released in '94. In my opinion, "Sacred Cycles" is essentially elements of "Garden of Peace" and "Gravitational Arch of 10" (both releases in '93) with some additional samples. That being said, I still love Lazonby's discography.
