Great tutorial. One suggestion, though. At 5:50 you mention that if there's a tie in determining the player order, you just keep the same order. However, my rule book states that if there is a group of tied players, then the one with the highest numbered power plant among them is first player out of that group. Keep up the good work.

You can add notes to the video to explain that when you say "stage" you mean either "step" or "phase." You actually say "step 5" when you mean "phase 5."

phase is the euro term (from the German Stufe). The US rulebook uses Step for Stufe. the bureaucracy phase for example is a phase. He mentions what happens during a certain phase to the market and #cities to occupy based on what Step is triggered. If you don't know about these rules, you have no chance of winning.

3:08 is worth its weight in gold. 5:50 I'm not so sure about that. And it comes up very quickly, at every game. The one thing I can't remember is at the first building phase where everyone has 0 cities, who gets to build first. The one with the highest numbered plant? or the one with the lowest numbered plant? 14:29 I'm not sure about the replacement. Also the replacement could be a step 2 or step 3 card which would trigger their effects. They're mentioned in this video on the 18 minute mark but very briefly. 19:56 I've never seen a step 3 card in the market like that.

Great video, thanks! My only question that is not clear in any video I’ve seen is, what is the point of buying double the amount of resources a power plant can hold if you can’t use all of them. (If I need 2 coal to buy a city, and I can store 4, but I can only use the two, and not use the other 2 to power another city- why would I want to waste money on 4? I don’t get that part.) I’d appreciate some clarity on this rule.

You might want to stockpile extra, in case somebody else buys it all up. Or you might want to buy it all up to prevent somebody else from getting a key resource!

It could be much more expensive the next round. Pay attention to what resources other people need to make their plants run! In that case buying extra before they raise the price might be benificial!

Dude, so if I have 2 oils, but only one power card that needs only one oil and can power one house, so I have to return the oil to the supply at the end of the round? But can’t one power card, which needs 1 oil, be multiplied by 2? So 2 oils and 2 houses? Please help man

You can only activate a power plant once per round. Having two resources on a powerplant that only uses 1 per round does not let you activate it twice. What it does allow you to do is activate the powerplant next round again without having to buy more resources for that same power plant. This is useful if the price of, lets say oil, is going to go up over the rounds and you want to buy 2 of them now at a lower cost rather than 1 now for a low cost and then 1 later for a high cost.
