Very true. The Power has been around forever. It's still used today from I formation offenses to even spread offenses.

Basically just a trap right? I always thought counter was pulling guard and tackle with play side blocking down

Could you, by chance, instead of making the backside come all the way across, have the playside guard kick out the DE? That way, the tight end can make one push to the outside on the DE and find the outside backer. Especially if the DT is gonna line that far out on our tackle I'll take that 1on1. That way I can use my fullback as deception rather than lead block. Fake the straight dive and have the QB reverse to the RB. That's how I have my counter set up. Anything more I should do out of that?

How would this look against a 40? I never see a 3-4. Only 50 or some variation of the 4-4 stack..
