This formation I was a part of in the backfield in the early 90s I don’t see this anymore and my son plays

it works great at the youth level especially my PIE version with adjustable blocking backs.

@@coachparker your absolutely right coach this formation taught me running it up the gut with great blocking will wear out that interior line and can open alot of play making opportunities with great blocking thanks for sharing coach!

Hey coach any drills I can work on with my son locating the ball? He’s DE and gets to the backfield a lot only thing is he can’t located the ball and make a tackle at 6u he’s 5

well he's 5 let him have some fun. But we tell our DT/DE's non contain to find the fullback's feet and qb heels so their eyes are up and on a target to mesh. Someone will run into him and wrap up. Eyes up find the ball..

All I see is RPO now. Youth, High School and so on. I like it but traditional formations are way too underrated in youth football.

@@marcusalba8172 we see some but you just call an audible out of these and you have a great pass option. Think out of the box. Our KFC Popeye audible (TE Pop Pass ) is really good for these older formations. Plus most defenses are set up for the spread and these offenses will shred a 335 defense. Ive seen it at the HS level when a Team went to the Power I. Ouch. It was ugly. So many youth teams do not have a QB that can do RPOs.

@@coachparkerI wish I would see 335!!! Mainly HS RPO. I guess it’s the wave for college prep. I was asked last year “why don’t you throw?” My answer is, why? We’re up.
