Right next to your mushroom place there is a purple lotus flower spown, so you can harvest that with the pick, lots of xp, go for lotus flowers all type, in the jungle there is the spot with black lotus flower,and in the north at the mount of dead there is the crimson's lotus flower! and go after the frozen lotus flower also! Keep up the good work!

Or just hit puffballs on noob river heading to sth jungle to 20 then turn around run to sep and buy spiced pork and go straight to black ice

The pickaxe no longer works on these mushrooms. I'm trying with a sickle but it doesn't feel as fast as you're doing it!
