This is my favorite Classics Optimus Prime, which is saying something for me, as I've never been a big fan of the classic look. I have this guy and Generations Rodimus and Generations Optimus Primal on my christmas list so I hope i get them. I think they were very creative on how they did these toys and Would be very happy to support more figures like this!

Despite the truck mode with its flaws I still love this take on orion pax to Optimus Prime . I plan to get another and shelve the first one since I customize it. Emgo I look forward to your shows and reviews...I'm hooked!!! :)

I was five when i dreamed of owning the original g1 transformers opt prime. As i grew up and older that dream faded away. It wasnt priority and i had limited finances with a whole other things that pre occupy and a hobby that was enough to cheer me daily. 28 years later, i saw this because i passed by the toy section of walmart and my goodness does this remind me of that forgotten dream. Its no original g1 opt prime, but the resemblance is very awesome and it really twisted my arm when orion pax came with it too. Tossed it in the shoppig cart A.S.A.P.

This guy's bot mode looks even better than mp10 imo. Obviously it lacks a bit in articulation and the backpack doesn't look great, but his overall proportions just look plain *good*

Emgo, I believe Hasbro was going for the vintage G1 style for the stickers on the bigger TR & POTP figures. That's what comes to mind when I see the off centered cut look & application. But,who knows.

I don't know if anyone's said this or not, but if one does get all twelve of the other Prime Masters, and decide to use some of their Titan's Return figures for it, you could very well make a Functionalist Council, or use the Enigmas that come with the Voyager's.

I actually do like that truck mode. I like to think of it as a more futuristic/cybertronian-esque vehicle mode for Optimus, and since we already have other Optimuses (Optimi?) out there with a good modern-day truck mode, I'm fine that this one isn't as clean or sleek.

I starting to have some vives from the unicron triligy Primes. The fact that a part of the truck its a robot and the rest its an armor for some kind of super mode really fells like a unicron triligy Prime figure. But that feling just makes me want this toy iven more.

The full Optimus Prime somehow reminds me of the Prime Titan from the Titanfall April Fools trailer. Considering how a Matrix is also included, I may just have to get this, though I'll probably wait to see what the Tamara version looks like.

This is a really awesome idea for a figure. I never thought of an Orion Pax toy which actually becomes Optimus Prime, but here it is and it's pretty dang cool! Sure, there are a few issues with it, but nothing major. I wish they'd come up with this, say, a decade ago before Hasbro's budget got slashed. They could have worked out some of the kinks in this, and given it more solid articulation, and not so much hollowed parts.

I thought Rodimus would end up being the better of the two, but the imaginative engineering and cartoon style really push this over the top. It just needs a lot of Wei Jiang polish to be a good toy. I will definitely wait to see if they can fix this. I'm not sure anything can fix the Rodimus tho.

He's a pretty cool prime all things considered, he does have his problems, the vehicle mode is definitely the worst mode like you said, the orion pax mode is a pretty good figure in his own right, and the prime mode is good too! He needs some better paint apps, but I'm sure reprolabels will come up with something. But anyway emgo, good figure and good review! And merry Christmas to you and lori plan!
