As a student at Spelman College in 1960, Gwendolyn Harris Middlebrooks was offered a babysitting job for her pastor’s son, who had recently moved to Atlanta. That son was the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Harris Middlebrooks reflects on her time with the King family, which inspired her activism as one of the original members of the Atlanta Student Movement.
