I got out of one almost 2 years ago and I'm scared that another friendship rn becomes toxic. I advice you, when the time comes, to try to forgive, it really liberates you and it really gives you a sense of "ok, this is over" so it's easier to move on. And by forgiving I don't mean becoming friends again, I just mean moving on with no hard feelings.

This theme seems to be REALLY common lately. Words are weapons. People are wielding them these days like toddlers pointing guns lately. I like this take on it, and love hearing yours . . . don't apologize for bringing a real part of yourself to the table. Don't apologize for NOT doing it either. 125K subscribers . . . you're a public figure. Maybe not the same way as these guys, or the artists you've devoted so much energy to appreciating. But if 0.001% of your followers are assholes, you're gonna take some gnarly shots. It's okay to not put yourself out there. But you do anyway, and we, your supporters, appreciate YOU as well as the art you're appreciating for us. As for the M/V . . . Jiwoo went off on this one. Her acting is top notch, and IMHO, is one of the better parts of this video. For her and BM in particular, this song feels very personal. And I think it's telling that that some of the strongest visuals in the video are all of the ones where they have wounds on their faces . . . they seem to be taking the metaphor to heart. This is KARD at their best. Been waiting for this to drop, since I saw the previews. And it's great to see someone else appreciating it as well. Thanks, as always, for your reactions.
@kkeke99854 жыл бұрын
to be honest, we overlook how much words actually hurt someone... even the ones who seem to be the most cold hearted, the cuts they had on their faces were because of all the hateful words they got and had to bear, there's a frame where Somin is struggling to breath and has her hand around her neck, cause sometimes those words, the countless hate someone gets for mostly just assumptions and prejudice pains you to the point you might get panick attacks at the only thought of gonna get it again just because peoples likes to run their mouth with the purpose to hurt others, as Somin says in her verse "You sugar-coat it with LOVE every time", when in reality the person's only aim is to make you feel miserable on purpose. This is called *VERBAL ABUSE* and all the peoples who use it on others are the scum they try to make others pass for. Verbal abuse is used to degrade you, to make you feel like the villain on place of the *true* villain. "I'm bleeding love", this happens when you give others so much love, appreciation and respect, getting in return only dust, disrespect, hate. Just remember that *your* cruel words are the reason someone is hurting, *because of you* someone is going through depression and panick attacks. *Your* cruel words might be the reason someone takes their lives away. If you don't like something, avoid it, if you don't like someone, avoid them. *MIND YOUR DAMN BUSINESS* instead of becoming a killer. Being respectful is a basic human behaviour, if you can't do even this and think of verbal abuse or any kind of abuse as the solution to boredom or to make you feel better, you're on thousand ranks lower than animals.
@KathrynOliver_13214 жыл бұрын
OMG PLEASE SPREAD THIS ON ALL SNS!! The behavior of people who attempt to destroy lives of others should NOT be condoned, and it has to stop. What you said here needs to be read everywhere. And for the people who think Verbal Abuse is okay so they can feel better, they also have to remember that the pen is more powerful than the sword. They think that it’s safe to say hurtful things and not get caught, but Karma is a monster, and she might come to their house with a letter of exile. We’ve lost too many valuable people in this world, famous and not famous, and if the abuse continues, there may be more. The good news is we have THE VOICE to fight back against the vicious online trolls, and right next to their comment is the report button. And if SNS can’t do anything about it, then we can fight ourselves. Let’s not let abusers win!

@KathrynOliver_13214 жыл бұрын
Md Hanif okay well, you’re right we should not condone those actions either, but there are better ways to exile them from continuing to be abusers. Literally hanging them is not one of them. We’re just giving them more power by just thinking that way. I get it, we’re angry at people who abuse us verbally, but we can be bigger than them and do something without hurting anyone. Idc if they’re victims or not, hateful things should not be condoned. There’s always the power of the pen, and if they can use it, so can we but BETTER. Let’s not hang anyone, cool?

I was gonna write an essay, but forget it. For the people who hurt others, this song is for you, and you better watch out. Don’t be surprised that Karma hits you with a letter of exile. It’s coming...

I totally agree on your thoughts on that final scene. Other people's words can be hurtful and destructive but when we start regurgitating hate speech to ourselves, making self-disparaging comments, it's a whole new level of pain. The most damaging words are the ones we say to our ourselves. WE are our worst critic.

From this I’m getting that sometimes we hurt ourselves the most. Now, the narrative related to BMs post on insta, was when she shot the version of herself that was too weak to leave. She is taking control again, becoming empowered despite the abuse. The bleeding love lyric was referencing someone who loves another despite the abuse. Also I was getting the vibe that the abuser was using love to control and manipulate. This was soooo powerful! Their best comeback!

Anyways Ben, I may not know everything about what happened to you in those times you've mentioned but I just want to say this: Indeed sometimes other people's words can get to you which would make you hurt and cry and that's totally fine because these what makes us human.
