You see, the politicians are not interested in moving the country forward. What is wrong with the present national anthem? If they are serious, let them revert to the parliamentary system of government which is less expensive and with little holes for administrative bugglings and corruption. They will never do this because corruption is the "best' industry in Nigeria, which has the highest rate of return on fake investment

I do hope Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde is watching or someone closer to him is watching. What the Governor did by supporting the evil done by the previous administration of Ajimobi to balkanize the traditional institution of Ibadan land and causing unnecessary pandemonium therein. We faithful and concerned citizens of Ibadan are not happy with this. It is either Gov. Seyi Makinde be bold and courageous to do the needful by scrapping the balkanization of Ibadan traditional institution to its original ONE entity that is known for from the beginning. 2 wrongs cannot make a right. Ibadan obaship is one. Hope Governor can do this or someone in the future with boldness will do the needful as it is happening in kano right now. God helps us all.

It was not even military that coined that old national anthem, it was the British. Let use the one we coined by ourself (arise o compatriot). Ours possess more deeper meaning and instigate unity. The second stanza is also fabulous ( O God of creation, direct our n…guide our leaders right, help our youlth d truth to know…). Why must we go back to what doesn't truly define our identity, can another man who is not part of us or experience our gain and pain tell our story better than us? Our leaders please be wise!

The report of the health minister is questionable. 78 million Nigerians who were sick seek health care in Nigerian hospital facilities? Where are the public hospitals? if 78 m Nigerians seek medical care in 9 months out of about 200m Nigerians, it means the Country is really sick. HOWEVER, how did they access the hospitals with all the insecurity across the country? How many of them were sick as a result of lack of food? Where are the Doctors and Nurses that attended to them, when hundreds and thousands of Doctors and Nurses had left the country? Where are the data to prove his report? Lies upon lies!~~!!

It’s highly and very unfortunate that Hope Uzodinma is in public office today. In a sane society he shouldn’t have been allowed to be in public office. Once inec declared anyone winner in election, it will be hard to change. A professional 419 man in the name of Hope Uzodinma, my office investigated him several times in the early 90’ and reports of him was sent to the then military administrator in the person of Col. Tanko Zubairu. Top security officials refused to barred him from contesting for public offices in Nigeria sadly.

I read a comment where someone said Arise o compatriot is the cause of inflation in Nigeria, and further said people of old era normally sang the old anthem with enthusiasm and patriotism compare to this new generation😂. I laugh, Does that mean we that embrace the Nigerian made version of our beloveth anthem doesn't sing it with great enthusiasm and true patriotism? You do not have point sir. How does arise o compatriot relate to rise of economy or inflation? Are your so called patriotic generation of “Naija we hail thee” not the ones destroying this country? and still holding to the power of this nation from then till now? The likes of your Buhari etc. Instead of you to arise o compatriot as you claim and make this country better you rather keep hailing your under performing worst leaders. According to Clint the drunk, things started rising since the Arise o compatriots was introduced and never came down. The excuse that Nigeria we hail thee wasn’t composed by a Nigerian is not reasonable. We sang and enjoyed it in my primary school days with enthusiasm and true patriotism, which is rare these days. Power of confession.

I was of the opinion that the old are this and that until I saw how unreliable some of the so called youths are. If you're realistic, you will know it is not old versus youths because the youth of today is the elder of tomorrow. The value system must change individually and collectively. No time to go on trading blames until you reflect instead of deflecting.
